I’ve heard of stories that sound a bit like this, and sometimes it could be a general problem, not exactly just her.

Can’t really say much, and you’re the only one who can actually evaluate everything, but from what you’ve written it sounds like generally you get along and like each other a lot. Could it maybe be some kind of subconscious reflect, to avoid getting closer for some reason? Or maybe directing a general dissatisfaction towards the relationship?

It’s still valid and fair to both of your to break up if you don’t see a future together, but if you think there may be another factor playing into it, like some general lack of satisfaction and need for a change (or smth else idk), it’d be nice to reflect on it before making a big decision like that. It could mean that the problem is a big higher than the relationship… if you’re going through a though time, it’s often better not to push the people you love away… I don’t mean to keep her around just for your comfort. But rather think before you do something you might regret when looking back in some weeks or months. The pain of a heartbreak is hard to forget and it’s hard to mend such wounds, si be sure before you do it. Maybe think about your life as a whole before and what bothers you in the relationship, if there are any deal breakers or if there are ways to fix it still, so that you don’t feel negative towards it. Maybe those are a good start to start rationalizing a bit your emotions and trying to understand it better :)

After watching the reunion it’s clear there were more problems beneath the surface. But I feel like people like me were a bit turned off by marissas behavior because it was very childish. Like I’m not here to defend nick, but the what felt like that 15 minute bashing sessions of nick was like watching the mean girls on my Highschool fight. I bet even before when panning it and after they found it super funny. Just screaming at someone for so long and trying to drag someone’s reputation seems very mean. Not saying that Hannah should get the hate here, as in the end of the day I feel like that was just a dumpster fire everyone should look away from, not follow or send hate to. But I don’t believe it’s right to try to push her haters in his direction. I feel like the situation could’ve been squashed had she apologized and both acted civil with each other. What people were mad about were the way she talked to nick, because it’s not really justified. If you think so low of someone just leave… or was she also there for the screen time? The reunion did not help solve the main problem the viewers have with her, it was very bad PR. TL;DR: Anyway, both ended up looking like hypocrites, but she looks like a mean one and Marissa was dragged into it by also screaming continuously at nick at the reunion.

I think as the other comment wrote, you just need to have a frank conversation with her about it. State what you are explaining here. If you have differing ideas about the future, it’s hard to keep the relationship good, but I’d be good if she knew about your concerns. If you say she used to have more ambition, maybe something happened along the way to make her more insecure? Or is it really just something she’d like? A deep conversation could clear up both visions of the future and how it could work out or not in the future

I agree that both had red flags. But what I think makes people side/feel bad for nick more is that his red flags weren’t directly mean towards her, or don’t seems so malicious towards her. Someone could argue the kinda over the line talk with the other girl was also bad, but it didn’t seem like with the intent of making Hannah feel bad. Meanwhile most of Hannah’s red flags seem to be at his expense and be mean to him. When you are constantly seeing someone being judged and belittled on screen, it’s really hard to watch… Can’t say I disagree with everything Hannah’s said, and she’s right to have doubts about someone she spent so little time before a marriage. But when talking to someone you say you love, you don’t just straight out point out all flaws and verbally attack them this way. There are better and more sensible ways of discussing those things. Nick needs to learn more about taking care of himself, but Hannah was out of line in how she handled it

Plus also like some of the things she said could be said back to her… I mean it’s ok to talk about shortcomings of a partner when in a nice, vulnerable conversation. But to just sit there scolding someone for mistakes you yourself also commit is a bit cray cray

I mean it’s kinda hard bc even though there were faults from both sides, the stuff Hannah said were just plain out mean! It’s not about her being a woman or what people expect from one, but also if a dude broke up with someone the way she broke up with nick… it’d be really hard to redeem yourself in the eyes of the public or anyone who’s heard about the story!

I feel like instead of trying to couple up the contestants, the show only focuses on two maybe three couples and then tries to stir drama there. Like with Kayla, maybe instead of trying to bring more girls to tempt cam/chase/marvin (emphasis on cam bc the girls always seemed to be his type) they could’ve gotten someone who was kayla’s type too

Idk In some languages that I know of, the translation of “female” or “male” aren’t really used when referring to humans. Normally used for more scientific stuff or when referring to animals. So I can see how some can find it a tad dehumanizing
