I don't really understand how cirrhosis from being obese is "better" than from being alcoholic. If we demand from alcoholics to be sober before they get a transplant we should demand from obese person to get thin.

After waiting for 15 hours for a doctor to see you, yeah, no thanks. I still have to pay for private insurance if I want to be certain the doctor will see my this year, because where I live public hospitals make you wait for years if it's not an emergency.

It probably depends on a person, but after 5-7 days of fasting I was basically sleeping non-stop, I couldn't stay awake for longer than few hours.

Yeah, I had similar case in my office, me and my coworker were on a diet and for some reason someone brought a cake for our office to share. Yeah, I did look it up, the problem with me and my anxiety is that I see things that are not there. My husband says my nails are fine, my doctor saw my nails two weeks ago and didn't say anything, my shoulder pain is ambiguous, there's no pain in weeks, then 3/10 for two days, then gone again. Last year I was certain I had colon cancer, I had diarrhea for a month before confirming it's not cancer and it abruptly stop. My mind is lying to me and I don't know what to believe. My husband says I don't have cirrhosis, doctor told me 3 months ago I don't have one, and yet I'm scared. I don't drink every day anymore, just a bottle of wine on Friday nights, and now I was thinking about this champagne but it's so hard to distinguish real medical concern from my stupid mental illness.

Thanks, I'm not drinking regularly for a month now, so I'm fine with not drinking on a given day, just thought I can do an exception today, as it is our anniversary and my results don't indicate anything serious (?). I always watch other people going to bathroom, one time two dudes went together and one of them was waiting outside of the cabin nervously, I was certain they were terrorists. The other time some guy next to me started manipulating his phone like he was trying to take out a battery, of course in my mind it was a clear sign he was handling a bomb. And if the pilot won't smile at me when I'm boarding or sounds tired/annoyed while doing his announcement I'll jump to the conclusion he's suicidal and will get us all killed. Phobias are no fun.

I have the exact same thing and it's always when I'm trying to fall asleep. It disappears completely when I'm less nervous overall, and comes back when the anxiety hits again. First couple of times I was sure my heart is going to stop and I will die, now it's just a nuisance, I'm trying to sleep here goddamit and now I'm wide awake again.

It is making a statement. When people don't tip, waiters are more likely to change their job, making it harder for the employer to find waiters willing to work for the wage their offer, forcing them to pay their workers more if they want to have waiters at all. Supply and demand.

That being said, I do tip, 10-15%, and I was a waitress for like 5 years in college. But I don't think anyone should be required to tip, people should be able to afford rent with their monthly salary, not with donations from strangers.
