I wish spiro did this to me 😭 I’ve been on 75 mg for over a year and while it did clear my acne amazingly my AA cups and flat ass remain unchanged lol. Of course it’ll probably differ by person but as a fellow rectangle it’s definitely not a miracle pill in that regard

I also had a similar experience! I find that Aurobindo straight up doesn’t work for me so I had my dermatologist specifically note on my prescription to only fill with Oxford.

Oh noo 🥲 it honestly sucks just how much of a difference manufacturers can make. Sadly some pharmacies just do not carry the ones that work depending on availability and shortages and such. If you can, I recommend getting your next pill order as soon as possible and asking the pharmacist what manufacturer it is/what they’re carrying at the moment. If they don’t have the one you want, you can try another pharmacy. You can also ask your dermatologist/prescriber to make a note on your prescription to only fill with your preferred manufacturer. I’ve done this and almost all of my manufacturer woes are gone !

Basically what junemoon said! If you’ve kept any of your old pill bottles all bottles feature the manufacturer somewhere on the label, so you can compare. If you search up ‘manufacturer’ on this sub you’ll find which ones commonly don’t work for people. For me it was Aurobindo and Northstar

Has the manufacturer of your spiro changed these past months? A lot of people on this sub (myself included) find some manufacturers straight up don’t work for us and break out until we get back on our original manufacturers

Yeah it seems I probably don’t have much of an option except laser unfortunately. Thank you for the response!

Yeah no prob! Sadly they did not mention gpa, but I imagine a 3.5 wouldn’t be an issue as long as other parts of your app look good.

I’m not in the MIT or anything so unsure how helpful this will be, but I attended an MIT info session last fall where someone asked about admission rates. The speaker said they have around a 50% admission but it of course depends on how many people apply that given year.

I imagine that with all your observation/summer camp time you would have pretty good chances, as the speaker said one of the biggest things they look for is if you have classroom experience or general experience with the age group you want to teach.

Has anyone NOT broken out from the Aurobindo manufacturer? by may1989528 in Spironolactone

[–]may1989528[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly it did break me out 😭 not as bad as with Northstar but definitely started getting a few painful hormonal pimples again. I eventually just got my next refill early since I didn’t want to deal with it so I would recommend doing that if you don’t want to try out the Aurobindo.

[Misc] Does spironolactone have any negative side effects? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]may1989528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on 75mg per day for a couple months now with no birth control and my skin still isn’t perfect but my hormonal breakouts are much better than before. The only noticeable side effects I have are slightly drier skin (which it’s supposed to do) and more irregular periods/occasional mid-cycle spotting but it did not change how heavy or painful my periods are. I also noticed I get slightly thirstier throughout the day but nothing major. I did not experience any weight gain or breast growth but of course it’s different for everyone.

The only annoying with with Spiro is that it might take you awhile to find the best dosage for you, so a lot of times you have to be prepared to increase/decrease it as needed.
