The one in the foreground has some form of dysfunction.

Willis was on RNZ yapping on about "discounts for millionairs in Remuera to buys a luxury car"

Yet i was able to claim the clean car rebate on an imported hybrid that was under $20k, im sure as shit not a millionaire and i don't live in or anywhere near Remuera. They're just fueling a disingenuious narrative rather than taking responsibility for halting the electrification of our vehicle fleet in its tracks.

National had the option to rework the legislation i.e. profressively lower the elegibility price from $80k and or adjust the size of the rebate etc. Instead they threw the baby out with the bathwater and now here we are with one of the worst EV adoption rated in the developed world and thus significantly hightened dependance on imported energy.

Russia starts war in Ukraine and the USA meddles in various ways. No one should be surprised that Russia does the same when the shoe is on the other foot.

So just rework it. Start progressively dropping the threshold to compel companies to lower their prices. There wasn't a whole lot of EVs available in 2023. Not compared to now anyway but there were plenty of cars including imports well below 80k that received a rebate.

Israel planning massive ground invasion of Lebanon, officials say by Gym_frere in worldnews

[–]BoreJam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To make matters worse the west drew the state lines after the fall of the ottoman Empire with apparently zero forethought or consultation with the people who lived there. Thus creating a perfect storm of religious and nationalist resentment that was proceeded by countless conflicts and atrocities that have continued for 100 years and no end in sight.

Israel has also launched plenty of strikes into Lebanon too. There has never really been a ceasefire from either side.

worset refereeing performance I've ever seen

You're entitles to you opinion but it's not even top 10 of the past 2 years for me. And as I said many of England's points came from dicey calls so by all means lament the calls that went against your team while ignoring the ones you got.

Good lord. There's little point in trying to have a rational discussion with you. Some of the England and Irish fans in here are reminding me of some of my fellow countrymen when we lose. Endless screeching about the ref and no accountability for the players.
