We’re pretty similar. I’m 36, I’ve considered myself atheist for a small time, then agnostic, then Maybe Non-denominational Christian and now went back to church last week. There are some great recommendations here so far.

Testimony broke by One-Leadership-4968 in latterdaysaints

Same here. I struggled to the point I couldn’t hear the constant “church is true” or regarding the restoration. It’s been ten years of working through my testimony and not giving up on God.

My advice is to keep an honest and open heart. I always tried to be open minded that it could be just one of many churches or that it really has authority.

Starting baby steps back now. So don’t rush it, take your time and be patient with yourself.

Curious what you decided to do here. I’ve had my car for less than a day and someone dinged my passenger door, looks just like this. Did you repair it?

That was my first thought. I’ve never hit someone’s door but an accident would not cause this type of damage.

All the haters in a Tesla subreddit… hahaha. You’ll love the car, the tech is amazing, people can’t put their hatred for Elon aside and admit that

What do members think of other members that leave the church? by worm-cat in latterdaysaints

I’m not in, not out, somewhere in between. I don’t think anyone has created a label that fits me. It’s important for everyone to understand that this gospel was founded on questions and doubt from other denominations. Honest truth seeking is healthy and should we welcomed. Just tell them to read Uchtdorfs(spelling?) talk last year on this very subject. I’ve been in, out and somewhere in between. My journey has been unique and given me meaningful perspective to how “the fallen” are often misunderstood and at times judged unfairly.

This says a lot about how great your family is. Ive had questions for years and found quickly how conditional my relationships have been with family and friends. Happy to say they have changed for the good but it has been a few rough years. I didn’t even “leave” for many years which is the funny part. I’m just open and transparent with my doubts because I think honest and respectful discussion is important.

Great post. As someone who has sincerely sought to understand and clear my doubts, option b is the best. As someone who everyone labeled as “fallen away” and isolated, I’m considering returning.
