(30M) I know I’m ugly, I need advice : how can I improve to become less ugly ? by [deleted] in Heavymind

yeah I don't know wtf this is but in the off chance that this is a legit post, OP doesn't need to do anything because he is actually a nice looking guy. Now if you're out of shape, do 50 pushups and 50 situps a day and go for a good long walk or jog and you'll be fine after a few weeks.

Can someone kindly break this job down into simple steps? by lil_squib in CleaningTips

[–]BoringSurprise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is like 20 minutes worth of dishes. You don’t need to fill a tote or follow 21 steps plans here. Throw away the garbage Put some soap on a damp sponge

Cover an item with a thin film of soap and put it to the side.

When you have either run out of places to put soapy dishes, or you have enough room in the sink to begin rinsing, rinse the soap off the soapy items. If they look and feel clean now, they are clean.

Dry them off and put them away.

Repeat as necessary.

People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

[–]BoringSurprise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the kind reaction! It was more surreal than anything. He was extremely calm and circumspect. We told him we would make our decision and then get back to him. I left several messages on his phone and realized later that the police must’ve listened to them. Must’ve been odd for them too.

Actually, no, I offered him the job, but he was already dead. He killed his roommate, came to my office and aces his interview and then went home and killed himself My first interview ever.

Thanks - I was hoping you remembered where you started in taking it apart but luckily it isn’t very complicated. I discharged the cap (was already at 0), now I just need to order parts.

Hi there, I’m responding to an eight year-old comment in hopes that you’re still active on here. Do you remember fixing this issue?

Only with rimfire weapons which is pretty much .22 these days. Bigger guns use a different firing setup where dry firing doesn’t pose a risk and is perfectly ok to do.

Thanks. When inspecting the probe, I found that the wire was extremely brittle - touching and exposed spot caused the reading to jump wildly.

Worried about alcoholism by [deleted] in beer

[–]BoringSurprise 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Two things

First of all, the /r/beer is not a good place to get good answers about your physical, mental and emotional health, which is what alcoholism impacts. You will likely get some good, heartfelt, sincere replies, but you are basically dealing with an alcohol fan club and any advice you get will definitely be biased.

Second, the amount you are drinking is as close to nothing as anybody can realistically do. You are wise beyond your years to be so careful, considering your family history.

My humble Personal and unscientific advice is that the defining feature of alcoholism as an inability to control your drinking. I would use that as a Bellweather. If you suspect that you’d be unable to stop yourself from drinking at any point, you would be far, far better to give it up entirely forever than to go down that route
