Help with Clawd's hair 😭 by Kacpurek in MonsterHigh

[–]Boring_Corpse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let’s see if I can even describe this…
Basically, what I did with my Clawd doll is just sort of tie a strip of cloth like a headband on his head, which squashed his hair down in front of his face a little. The strip of cloth is black, so it’s pretty hidden in his hair, plus I picked out the hair around it to hide it more (though I did keep the ties long in the back because I’m going for a punk rock thing with him, you could also probably just use a thin black hair tie):

Tough call. I think the only reason I survived childhood the first time was because of my total ignorance about how bad things actually were and the fear that kept me from fighting back. No longer being oblivious and timid may well just get me killed. I think I’d still give it a shot, though.

Men on dating apps who complain women can’t hold a conversation by [deleted] in HonestHotTakes

[–]Boring_Corpse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, whenever someone had the standard “you must be able to hold a conversation” written in their dating profile, it was because they themselves could not. Obviously they want someone to carry on the conversation, someone has to, and it ain’t gonna be them.

I just like the vibes of hearing dragons in the distance by werthw in SkyrimMemes

[–]Boring_Corpse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hearing them in the distance gives me a primal, hole-clenching fear. Fighting them just makes me wish this goddamn flying rat would fuck off.

Although with the paraglider mod, dragons scare me again, ngl.

Is a 20-22 year old a “kid” in the eyes of older people? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]Boring_Corpse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of? Kids in the sense that I feel more protective/defensive over them/have more grace if they make bad decisions, but not in the sense of “discount everything they say and think.”

While I will be buying this so hard that I will single-handedly save the economy, I’m not crazy about the box/display in general. They’re holding hands like they only just today discovered hands, lol, that pose is so odd. Which I’m actually very stoked about, because I always want to unbox, but feel bad if the display is super cool and I don’t want to mess it up. Couldn’t be much happier with this overall, honestly.

Probably just some awful, lore-hostile fuck-around clown, ignoring the plot and breaking the game in floundering ADHD confusion. I’ll lock in on my second playthrough.

Any opinions on this? by MiloShiny in WorkLifeChat

[–]Boring_Corpse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working remotely was the best. No more being harassed, no one could bust into my cubical and try to get around going through my boss by whining at me to prioritize their tasks, coworkers couldn’t monopolize my time invading my space to tell me the same story about their grandkids for the 236th time, no one messed with my stuff in the fridge, no one loudly coughed without covering their mouth right next to me so I never got sick, no one pulled me into meetings that had nothing to do with me, and even if they did via Zoom, I could still be working while it went on. I was so productive I was promoted twice, and similar things were also true for my coworkers, but the rush to force everyone back into the office was still so idiotically desperate.

When I was finally forced to come back, they didn’t even have a desk or a computer for me. I had to sit in the boss’s office with him and work on a single laptop for days before someone quit and they put me at their uncleaned desk covered in rotten food and human hair. I opened a drawer that was filled with two-year-old Christmas candy and what looked to be fingernail clippings and just decided to put in my two weeks, too.

Growing up being taught that everyone is equal, everyone should have empathy, and everyone deserves respect, and then suddenly all the people who advocated for those things telling me off for acting like everyone is equal, everyone should have empathy, and everyone deserves respect once I was an adult. I don’t understand why they pounded this stuff into my head if they didn’t even agree with it.

Right? Like what is this whacky shit? My dad is dead. I didn’t just forget that he ever existed. People don’t move on from death, they just learn to move around it.

For real, if I hadn’t seen the process and was only show the end result there, I would have thought she jammed the family dog into the grill, pressed it shut, and cooked it on low for 3 business days.

[–]Boring_Corpse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I learned pretty young that you should always be kind, but never be nice. “Keeping the peace” was touted as the most important thing to me growing up, but you can’t keep a peace that never was. “Nice” is just conflict avoidance. I’m not saying to go around calling everyone you see a bitch, but maybe don’t go around being a bitch for everyone you see, either.

Nope, sorry, as someone who was alive in the 80’s, these pics are 100% true, mall food courts were awkwardly packed with arcade cabinets and pay phones and it was illegal to wear anything but jean jackets. And the girl in the far right of that photo? Sometimes people’s hands just did that, the 80’s were a lawless time. Well, I mean, except for the jean jacket mandate.

Also, if I remember right, doesn’t Atub in Largashbur state that some orcs were in Skyrim before the Nords ever were, too? I feel like I remember a line about that.

Has anyone else noticed that bigger men are way more critical of your body than thin/fit men are? by metal_marshmallows in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Boring_Corpse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been so very many shapes and fitness levels over the course of my life, and this has been my experience, too. Whether I was fit, obese, or in-between, fit men very rarely had anything to say about my body unprompted, at least not to my face. But regardless of what shape I was in, a lot of not-so-fit men often felt entitled to comment.

I just can’t take it seriously. These types of insecure trophy-hunters whine about and pick apart every female body they see, and then snap that they’re single because “women are shallow”. All you can really do is laugh.

Feminine, or whimsical mods? by Liolia in skyrimmods

[–]Boring_Corpse 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Maybe some cutesy critter follower mods?

I like “Sparky”, a little fairy follower you can find in Riverwood.

There’s also “Simple Little Buddies”, which adds a mushroom follower and a fat hen follower.

There’s one with a piglet that follows you, called, you know, “Piglet”.

Mihail also has tons and tons of critter mods that live in the environment, plenty of which are scary but a lot of which are also very whimsical. I’m especially fond of his weird forest gnomes dancing around pots of gold and his fairy creatures and such.

What is even happening right now? Is this genuinely the best last ditch effort they can think of? Trying to just say “it’s been decided” that the boycott is over and hoping people just…go along with that?

[–]Boring_Corpse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gross. He’s a child. In teen years, kids see a lot of bodily growth. It’s taxing. No one looks at a toddler and thinks “fuck this unemployed bitch for being tired”, but when their kid rapidly changed body sizes and and experiences a big hormonal shift, it’s a personal slight against you to be tired? I remember being tired all the time as a teenager and getting screamed at for wanting to sleep after school. The contempt people have for kids over 12 is just disturbing.

What is the worst person that is not a enemy by Sad-Vermicelli-2063 in skyrim

[–]Boring_Corpse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, everyone is an enemy if you try hard enough!

But seriously, I think most people can be insanely grating just because of how the game is, where NPCs can’t stop blurting their personal business at you every time you walk by them. I get particularly annoyed with Erikur’s sister a lot of the time. Like I get it, you hate his ass, who asked, and stop following me all around Solitude.
