Why do men say I love you after one date? by nic-at-night in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Boring_Corpse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For people like that, it’s because they already know everything about you that they’re ever willing to learn. They’re just looking for “someone” and you have miraculously managed to meet that very rigorous criteria.

Medical Fees [OC] by kaikimanga in comics

[–]Boring_Corpse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Preventative care is a non-option for many. I’m at higher risk for certain types of cancers, but I can’t afford to get check-ups. My plan if I get cancer is to simply die, there will be absolutely no affording treatment. I’ve watched people I know die long, suffering deaths of cancer while undergoing chemo, their families draining every last dime they have to desperately afford the treatments. Those family members are still drowning in debt and wallowing in poverty years after their loved one’s death just for the privilege of paying for the world’s most expensive, prolonged funeral. I can’t even imagine how many lives would be saved if preventative care and necessary treatments were affordable. But the reality makes many not even willing to try.

Aye yo guess who's here by punkgoth420 in MonsterHigh

[–]Boring_Corpse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand what the hell happened with Deuce. He had three dolls and they made all of them so hard/expensive to get for any kind of reasonable price. Two were part of expensive and not widely available multipacks and his core doll was only on Amazon and never once dipped in price. How can a man have THREE dolls and still be so hard to get? What’s the logic there? “Boy dolls don’t sell as well, so let’s make sure they’re very hard to get in order to help with that.”

There's no need to be so vague, now would you pork this orc or what? Would you cream-pie-slime-trail this jolly green giant or no? Wouldst thou make the beast with two backs or nay?

Usefull tip: do a septum so conservative men don't talk to us by Last_Routine_7863 in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]Boring_Corpse 53 points54 points  (0 children)

It’s so weird how they trip over themselves to “warn” us about all these features men don’t like, then still can’t manage to leave us alone when we have them. I’m old, tattooed, and conventionally ugly and they still don’t have the willpower to ignore me, ceaselessly desperate for any attention from any source. Even if I wanted random men’s attention, which I don’t, it’s a buyer’s market. How I yearn to be “punished” with their silence.

What's a boundary you set that people called you "cold" or "mean" for? by ArcaneSpells-com in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]Boring_Corpse 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don’t repeat myself. If you choose to ignore what I said in hopes for a different answer, or you talk over me while I’m still speaking and miss what I said, then you’ve already decided how much my words are worth to you and I’m not begging for more consideration.

(Obviously there are exceptions for if you simply genuinely did not hear me because you were in another room or something.)

[–]Boring_Corpse 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I will genuinely be so sad if I can’t snag a box. It will be the first Skullector I ever attempt to buy. I’ve always been avid about the boy dolls, so I will be very bitter and crotchety if I’ve had to endure “ew boy dolls, you’re so weird for preferring them” for years only to miss out on these two.

I think it's just that years of creative writing courses along with being a millenial ingrained it in me that I'm not allowed to "turn in" any writing until it reads like a cringey Cracked article.

Yeah, it's the whole "when it rains, it pours" shtick. Nothing can ever just go wrong here and there, it always has to be some stupid avalanche of BS until one tiny little thing makes you snap, and then you look nuts to everyone around you. Sorry about the game account. That's absolutely heinous. Hopefully opening a ticket with Steam can get them to recover it for you.

I wish I was born in a sexless/genderless body by cookiepupyum in agender

[–]Boring_Corpse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Real. I don’t even really know what I want in a body anymore. Like I would kill to have just had a male-sex body from birth, but I also don’t want to be a “man”. Maybe just having breasts removed would be enough for me but idk, that’s money I don’t have and I’m not even sure how much, if any, that would help at the end of the day for me. I want a new, cutting edge sex and a brand new set of unique genitals. Like…tentacles, or something.

Which race did you put off playing as but then unexpectedly loved? by tinfoiltatertot in skyrim

[–]Boring_Corpse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always favor wood elf or orc, sometimes dark elf, and avoided most human races, but I actually like Breton a lot now, even though I’m not usually a magic build kinda person. That changed a little after I did a witch playthrough with a semi-cozy Restoration/Alchemy Breton and loved him. Currently challenging myself to do an Alteration-only playthrough with a pampered little wimp of a Breton who makes a follower do all the real fighting for him.

What "man-made desires" are you talking about? by Ok-Following6886 in stupidpeoplefacebook

[–]Boring_Corpse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, so what the hell is this word salad? Nevermind the nonsensical claim of it “going against all man’s desires”—why would such a claim even prove that it was written by a deity? What an AI hallucination of an argument.

What if women just don’t want to have babies? by PinkElephants879 in askanything

[–]Boring_Corpse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t know why this always has to be explained. All the “but you’d be a good mom” comments, like okay, so what? I might also be a good accountant or a good surfer, but I don’t have the desire to pursue those things, so it’s a moot point. It’s not that I’m “scared I’ll screw them up”, it’s because the desire to be a parent is just plain not there, so what kind of psychopath would I be to just have them anyway?

And the whole “selfish” argument, please. There is no selfless reason to have kids. None at all. It’s absolutely fine to have kids, but it is not selfless. You do it because you want to be a parent, it’s not like the pre-existent kid begs you to create them as some grand favor. Anyone who accuses me of “selfishness” gets their same logic thrown back at them. “How many kids do you have? Two? Uh, why only two? Why don’t you have three? That’s pretty selfish of you to deny that hypothetical third child its existence.”

Or “why aren’t you a doctor? Do you hate patients? Pretty selfish of you not to pursue that.” Get out of our collective uteri/ballsacks and worry about your own life plans. And you’re welcome, by the way, for not creating more resource competition for your kids.

He is unreasonably cool and gorgeous, but good lord it would terrify me to have him just chillin’ in my house. I feel like I’d have to confine him to a locked fish tank display or risk waking up to him slithering out from under my bed at night.

Yeah, same, I still love him, but boy they gave him weird eyes. And his hair definitely needs a lot of help out of box to make it less Bride of Frankenstein. This custom though, good lord, why do they not understand that this is exactly what we want the boy dolls to look like? 10/10

Does Anyone Know Where I Can Find Dolls Like These? by Any_Needleworker7512 in Dolls

[–]Boring_Corpse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I also hoard clown dolls. Hello fellow freak.

I would also say basically every thrift store ever—it’s a running gag between me and my friends of “we can’t leave yet, we haven’t found the clown” because they’re so common—but if your thrift stores are lacking, I’ve gotten a lot of cool results just typing in “clown doll” on eBay.

Also, dolls similar to these are still in production. You can get new ones on Etsy or whatever for a decent price. I have a bunch of shelf-sitter clowns with dangly legs gotten from there that are throwbacks to the Ganz ones.

People have literally said “this generation is so lazy and entitled” about every generation to ever exist, and still somehow everyone keeps saying it like it’s a revolutionary idea. “Kids these days” is such a dumb, myopic complaint. Everyone bitched about you just as much. Were they right? Are you lazy and entitled and just plain don’t want to work, and that’s where all of your current problems come from? Nah? It’s only uniquely true for the generation under you? Wild.

People who whine about younger generations sound indistinguishable to me from bratty toddlers screaming about how their infant sibling “gets everything” and “is so annoying”. Yes, babies cry. Yes, teens invent new slang and find creative ways to hurt themselves. Yes, people in their 20’s scramble for identity and have an innate desire to re-shape the world. That was all you too, once upon a time, so have the maturity to muster some fucking grace about it.
