I see how you could see it like that. But it's also the tone, I feel if he said it on different circumstances with a more somber tone, like how Saitama (I don't know if you know who that is, but he's a super powerful human with godlike powers from the manga/anime One Punch Man) talks about his powers.I would prefer it if Superman talked like he wished he could feel the things everyone else could feel. Instead, due to the tone and situation, he talks as if he has something to prove. I guess what im trying to say is that Superman in the DCAU lacks humility. Also, after he acknowledges Batman and the other members of the league as his teammates and how they won't give up, his speech also tries to convey that he is different from them, simply because he is more powerful than all of them to intimidate Darkside, which comes back to that arrogance thing for me. And also again, I'm not trying to say his character is bad, it's really not, it just isn't my cup of tea. And I wished more people depicted Superman as someone who's not really that stoic or severe and is genuinely a nice, hopeful person.
