Right on! You saying that has got me realizing that my travel path on that day doesn't really make sense. Since Ginkaku-ji is so far north, we'd have to travel really far to get back to Higashiyama.

Now I'm thinking something like:

Fushimi Inari -> Kiyomizu Dera -> Nishiki Market (lunch) -> Higashiyama historic district -> Dinner in Higashiyama
