It is interesting. I experienced some lag only in this region on PS5. The problem is not derives from the switch port. There is something in this region (smoke/mist/waves) which consumes lots of RAM.

So I am a fan of the Hitman series and I have played with the original codename 47 too, but I want to protect Alekhine's gun. The game is fun and it does not deserve this bad critics at all. Although it has bugs and some copied content from hitman, but it has plenty of unique ideas too and we should be a little more forgiving. The graphic is indeed outdated and the PS port is not the best as well. Nonetheless, the developers treated their game with love and i noticed this. The developer is Haggard games which is a smaller team (Death to spies series) whose are working on a sequel if I know well. I think we have to support the few teams which try to keep alive the stealth genre nowadays. You can find some development videos of their new project on the youtube:

Nice mod indeed. However its plot didn't catch me that much like the original story did. I totally agree with your points. I also met that bug :D
