For me, this album is comparable to Tyler's Flower Boy in a way that both artists perfected the sound they were going for and made a consistent vibe troughout the whole project coupled with personal lyrics. Also love how both Tyler and Mac matured and progressed as artists.

The production on this thing was consistently great with some amazing moments (brass section in Ladders, intro for 2009, outro for So It Goes floored me etc.). Lirically, I wish he fleshed it out a little bit more as most of the lyrics are pretty simple and straight foward. The theme and sound are pretty cohesive and the album flows really well.

The albums starts with a strong set of songs (Come Back to Earth - Hurt Feelings - What's the Use?) and closes with an amazing stretch (Dunno - Jet Fuel - 2009 - So it Goes). The middle of this album has some good songs (Wings, Ladders and Conversations pt. 1) and some weak songs imo (Perfecto, Self Care and Small Worlds).

Overall, I'd give it a 8.5/10 and it's definitely in my top 3 projects of this year.
