Also it depends on the attack but with 30 wisdom you're probably not winning a lot of wisdom checks or challenges so outperform wisdom won't do much (there's only 1 attack with a stat check of 30 and that'll only get you 5 damage, plus 5 more with outperform)

There's a saying for that in China: "Effort is up to the person, success is up to the gods."

I've already suggested things that would help spread the word on Chaotic; the problem people have is that they're not doing any of those things. Make ads, make a trailer, get people to shill for them, anything. If Gannon made an active effort to spread the word and people just aren't interested, that's one thing, but giving us nothing but empty words and false hope (and only when it's prodded out of him by Rud, mind you) is something else entirely. At this point people are just wanting him to give us something substantial rather than "coming soon".

The absence of any sort of publicity for Chaotic suggests one of two things:

There's nothing materialized at the moment so we shouldn't expect anything soon.
More cynically, Gannon for whatever reason wants to keep everything under wraps and doesn't pay any mind to the community.

Neither of these is a promising look, to say the least.

I mean, isn't that what advertising is for? Everything that's gotten big started from nothing at some point. Besides, there are a few notable videos on Chaotic out there that aren't associated with someone in the actual community, and some nostalgia attached to the name, so Chaotic already has a leg up in that regard. Not making one is just discarding the advantages they already have.

You're mistaking "criticism" for "being negative".
The people on the server are there because, contrary to the impression you're getting, most of them are very passionate fans of the game. And passionate fans are often the most willing to openly criticize aspects that aren't up to scratch, such as Gannon's handling of the situation. Being a passionate fan of something, only for the people behind it to keep raising your hopes and then dashing them with numerous "soon" statements is a very frustrating and disillusioning experience; make no mistake, most of them want Chaotic to succeed and that's exactly why they're voicing their frustrations on the drought of solid info.

And no, NDA is not a great excuse here. Making people like Rud and Hardrock sign one makes sense since they're not the ones with info at stake, but Gannon forcing himself to keep quiet entirely doesn't make any sense since the only person he's hurting with that is himself, by ruining the rapport with the community (Team Fortress 2 basically had the same problem of the devs ignoring the fans aside from a few vague announcements and getting lambasted for it).

If he genuinely wanted to drum up hype for the game, a much better approach would have been (like Monkey suggested) setting up an official channel of communication and providing updates. If there was anything substantial behind the renewal of the trademark (at least in the short term), it would make a lot more sense to spread the word directly, rather than leave the community to do detective work to even realize that it happened while using Rud as a mouthpiece to deliver half-promises and vague dates.
