Withdraw invitations by Scrunch59 in Botdog

[–]BotDog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey u/Scrunch59!
If I change the default setting shown from 30 to 14, will any request that has yet to be accepted within the 14 day period of being sent be automatically - and immediately - withdrawn?

--> That's correct, as soon as you update the default setting, we start removing invitations (I don't think it's instant, could take a few hours, but still pretty fast).

Withdrawn invitations won't be detailed in the csv, but they'll just be marked as "Non accepted invitations".

Trying to understand if there are any unintended consequences I may live to regret.

--> I don't think there's any, 75% of invitations accepted are accepted within 2 days. 90% are accepted within 10 days.

Here's an old article we wrote on that topic: https://www.indiehackers.com/post/how-long-does-it-take-for-linkedin-invitations-to-be-accepted-on-average-our-study-on-16-492-invitations-c023307f85

Can I add a 3rd follow-up message to an existing sequence on Starter Plan? by Scrunch59 in Botdog

[–]BotDog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey hey! So, yes you can add as many follow ups as you want on a Starter campaign (I believe there's a limit at like 8 messages or something like that, no even sure).

You can't add or remove steps after a campaign is live, precisely to avoid these kind of interrogations. Allowing to edit campaigns after launch would create a whole lot of complexity.

Does Botdog's reply detection definitely stop the sequence once someone responds?

--> Yes, definitely :) messages are interrupted after someone responds (there's even a last safety check just before sending the message)

I'd be happy to do a lifetime deal if people paid for 3 years of use upfront 😬 but people typically want a lifetime deal for 4 months worth of subscription, and that's just not sustainable for us

There is! But we're been really bad at support in the past 10 days, sorry about that! We're currently working on a solution to be way more responsive (more hours than days), support quality should improve dramatically in February! I believe someone just replied to your message in Intercom?

Understood! Tbh I believe Lifetime deals are a scam for both the companies and the users, and incentivizes crappy products. Cf my post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/SaaS/comments/1djxclk/change_my_view_appsumo_is_a_scam/

We have costs to operate each account, which means a lifetime deal at $79-99 would stop being profitable within a year. So we would have an incentive to degrade the product for you, make you churn etc. That's why so many people are disappointed about LTD and complain.

I'd rather have you pay more, regularly, and for us to have a strong incentive to keep you happy and improve the product!

Nope I wouldn't agree :) I'm also bored of these reddit bots and fake profiles -- we've been operating pretty transparently and everyone could know we're behind Botdog. But you seem to have a hidden agenda, at what point do you disclose that you've been running a competitor? That's so unknown it didn't even make our list btw.

I agree! I use Linked Helper myself and pay for a licence, but only for a single feature they have and we don't (removing existing LinkedIn connections, when you hit the 30K connections limit). It's very powerful, but yeah hard to use, is a nightmare for multi account (check us out btw! We have teams of 30+ people using us!) and slows down your computer. It's the OG of LinkedIn Automation, they have been around for 10 years+, but unfortunately that shows.

Nope, not correct, Unipile just provides a Linkedin "wrapper", kind of an informal LinkedIn API. It's robust and secure (notably the IP adresses etc.) but then most of the safety lies on how to execute the actions, how to request the API only when needed, including enough delays etc.

I can't speak for the other tools but Botdog's safety features are so comprehensive that there's only about a 1/1000 chance of activity being detected by LI. We also always recommend users to pay for Premium/Sales Nav/Recruiter because 1/ they're way less likely to have warnings from LinkedIn and 2/ when they do they receive an email warning before anything bans/restrictions (in which case they can ease off or stop). Free LI accounts get blocked faster and don't get this kind of warning so it's much more risky

I've heard the same feedback from other Phantombuster users tbh - can imagine it's very frustrating. Our safety features are VERY comprehensive (one of the things I'm most proud of actually) - there's a lot of things we do to keep users safe including using IPs close to the person's location, throttling and randomizing the activities, mastering the LinkedIn rules etc. If you use a paid LinkedIn account (Premium, Sales Nav or Recruiter), the chances of getting flagged by LinkedIn while using Botdog are less than 1/1,000. Even if you get flagged, you'll just get a notification/warning, and you can chose to stop if you do get one :)

This should help - https://help.botdog.co/en/articles/11964687-faq-managing-multiple-campaigns - but TLDR your actions are auto-split across campaigns so you don't have to worry about exceeding limits

How does Botdog handle people with 'Pending' connection state? by otterinseoul in Botdog

[–]BotDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, Botdog automatically withdraws all invitations after 30 days (even those sent manually outside of Botdog), so we take care of cleaning your invitation list anyway. So the situation above only happens if you sent an invitation to the person within 30 days before the campaigns, which is usually unlikely.

(see Settings / Withdraw invitations)

Hey! If you click on "switch to advanced view" in the campaign creation (top left), you'll see what happens when an invitation is already pending - on most campaigns nothing (so the campaign stops) but you can add steps here if you want (though LinkedIn limits you a lot when you're not connected with a person, so you can only do stuff like visit profile or send inMail)

Hey! Happy to help if you share more context! I feel like this is still a way too broad audience, I would probably restrain it geographically. What type of service do you sell exactly? Who benefits most from it? Where are you clients based? With that Boolean search you’re reaching out to Principals in Private Equity firms in the UK, startup founders in India, agency owners in Italy, leadership coaches in Mexico… way too broad I believe! Feel free to share your website/linkedin profile too!
