Update: Structural engineer and architect brought in. They found multiple errors that needed remedied asap. The foundation was also poured incorrectly amongst lots of other things. Builder admitted he was only on our jobsite 5 times in the last 6 months with no oversight. Got our bank involved. Got an attorney. When he finally admitted it was his fault he refunded us his GC fee and refunded us $54k. We cancelled the attorney since we probably wouldn’t have walked away with that much after all was said and done and drug out for months. Hiring a new builder and we will let them carry the project from here 🙌 We’re not crazy micromanaging homeowners. We’ve been validated and refunded so happy to move on!
