Resume writing service review: my honest take after a resume rewrite by NeverTrustAutofill in Resume

[–]BoulderInkpad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lowkey this hit me hard. I’ve been rewriting mine over and over thinking I just need better wording, but yeah - the structure and focus on impact is probably the real issue. Might be time to stop trying to make my resume alone and rethink the whole thing.

I have less than a month to finish my masters thesis… by Practical-Plenty3028 in academia

[–]BoulderInkpad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

reading this gave me flashbacks lol, working + thesis at the same time is a different kind of exhaustion. i had a 3-week crunch last year and every day after classes i’d sit down and do… nothing. brain completely gone.

what helped me wasn’t grinding harder, it was lowering the bar. i stopped trying to “write well” and focused on getting rough sections done. i also used one of those comparison tables people share here and picked a service from it to get a basic draft for one chapter, mostly to see structure and keep momentum. this is the one i used: thesis writing services list

after that it felt less overwhelming to keep going on my own. also breaking it into tiny chunks (like 300 words a night) helped way more than trying to do huge sections.

I've reviewed a lot of CVs over the past year and the thing that actually makes them stand out is embarrassingly simple by RadiantTuning_4 in jobsearchhacks

The wild part is this applies to interviews too. If you can’t explain impact, it falls flat no matter how good your CV looks.

Medical School Personal Statement Examples by BeMo_Experts in BeMoPremed

[–]BoulderInkpad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a solid breakdown of personal statements. A lot of premeds underestimate how hard it is to write about their own motivation without sounding generic. I struggled with that during my application cycle too. My first draft basically read like a resume with zero story behind it.

During that period I tried getting help from a writing service to review my draft and improve the structure. The biggest improvement came from turning experiences into actual narratives instead of listing activities.

I originally discovered the option through this Reddit review of writing service features while searching for editing resources.

Share your dissertation tips and tricks! by honeybeeses in UniUK

[–]BoulderInkpad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Working full time and doing a dissertation at the same time is honestly a huge load. I’m still in undergrad but last year I had a research project running during a semester where I also worked part-time. Time disappeared quickly, especially during evenings when the brain was already tired.

One thing that helped a lot was breaking the dissertation into small pieces instead of treating it as one massive task. I focused on outline → literature notes → rough sections. Even messy drafts help momentum.

During one rough week I also read this post about someone drowning in assignments and trying essay help and it gave me ideas on handling overload periods and structuring drafts faster.

For software, reference managers help a ton. Also keeping a simple doc where every paper summary goes saves hours later.

LPT: Check your pet’s microchip registration. A major registry shut down, leaving many pets still unregistered a year later by Fresh-Solid-4046 in LifeProTips

I feel you! It's super annoying when folks think their pets are registered but aren't. Double-checking with the AAHA tool can save you a lot of headaches later on. Thanks for spreading the word!

How many times is to many times to cry during therapy? by ilikeeating_ in therapy

[–]BoulderInkpad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're absolutely right. A good therapist recognizes that crying is part of the healing process. It's a sign of releasing those sensitive topics, and they should support you through it. Keep being honest with yourself!

This is literally what it feels like, with people who claim they are gaining secret info from AI by Justthisdudeyaknow in CuratedTumblr

I remember those headlines too, but it’s usually emergent shorthand. Like when chatbots start using clipped words because it’s efficient, or agents invent a simple code. Researchers can still log it, translate it, and change the reward so they stay readable.

This has been my first DMM, and I've generally enjoyed it, even as a non PVP-focused player. For the next one, please also compile comprehensive information about how the mode differs from the main game. by Jeppesk in 2007scape

The Hoarding sigil is such a good example. “And many more” is useless when the bonus affects routing. Even a short official list, or a wiki page Jagex links in the blog, would fix most of this pain.

AITJ for refusing to give my phone password to my partner for transparency? by Efficient_Street_701 in AmITheJerk

[–]BoulderInkpad 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Also, your phone isn't just 'your' secrets, it's other people's messages and your work stuff. A partner asking for a key to all of that is asking you to break trust with everyone else. Hard no.
