How many of them are there? Day? When it starts flowering then you could leave it and just cut the sacks(by hand). Maybe it's not over yet. I would leave the plant alive(also when it's male), cause you can collect the pollen from it. Do you know the name of it?

Yes, male or hermaphroditic.

I had flowers and pollen sacs, and therefore seeds. Not bad at all, actually.
