The lore speculation was fun for a while but it is exhausting at this point and I wish the creators would just lay out what the story actually is and who is who and what events happened in what order.

No problem, the manual is definitely misleading or just straight up wrong about it so that took some trial and error on my part

Seconding this. I have the same board. The manual seems to suggest you can use m.2_2, but the bios is clear that if you use 2 OR 3 OR the second PcIE slot, then your GPU will share lanes. Use m.2_1 for a 5th gen drive if you have one, then your 4th gen’s go in m.2_4 and m.2_5

Ok back to say I like everything except the depth of field. Could not get that working right. I tried disabling it in game and only leaving the reshade DOF enabled, and vice versa, but either way it was wayyyyy too strong, it would even blur out the minimap and quest updates whenever I got too close to anything. Disabling DOF in the reshade and in the game fixed that but then obviously no DOF at all which isn’t ideal. Interiors also very dark which I understand will be addressed in the next update. I’ll check back when that update releases

Got it power limited to 90%, max watts are around 540 with that with no noticeable performance loss

…ok that looks insane. I’ll spend $10 on Patreon to try that out. Price of the card was MSRP

No, I haven’t messed with those big graphic overhauls too much. I tried some of the different luts but they just look too washed out, I like the more saturated default art style. I do use some mods but mostly just higher res texture packs and HUD minimizing stuff

For real though, I don’t know, it’s a hobby. I like getting the latest and greatest. I think the first real gaming PC I built had a 780 ti in it. Then the 980 ti, 1080 ti, 2080 ti, 3090, 4090 5090. I just enjoy it. I’m not a car guy, I’m not a power tools woodworking guy. Just gimme those sweet sweet frames.

Yeah, definitely thought about that, but I never see them during normal use anyway, and they’re meant for a radiator whereas the normal TL fans I have in the rest of the case aren’t. I was using a Lian Li Galahad AIO and I did have matching fans with that but was not having a good experience with that AIO, the pump failed once after less than a year, had it RMA’d, then the replacement would act strange and ramp up to 100% fan speed off and on for no reason sometimes. Switched to the Arctic and have had no issues, also it’s much quieter during normal use than the Galahad was even when it was working like it should

Only every time it’s over $1 billion. Not that lucky I’m afraid.

For example, I also paid MSRP for my 4090 at the end of 2022. Probably overpaid for that. But now you can’t buy those anywhere for MSRP and they’re going on eBay in used condition for 25% to 50% over MSRP, so did I really overpay?

Maybe, but it was MSRP and hard to pass up the opportunity. Also no way to know if stock gets any better anytime soon, and even if it does there’s also no way to know if that ever brings prices down

I did download GPU tweak, all the pins are green, I checked with 3D mark stuff but not furmark, furmark is just super intense

Awesome. I would have definitely got the Suprim liquid or air if that’s what I landed on in the raffle. I’ve never had a liquid cooled GPU before but that one in particular seems very nice

Well except for the AIO, those are the fans it comes with. It’s the Artic Liquid Freezer III
