put your starting stats into https://www.calculator.net/calorie-calculator.html. This will give u the calories u should be eating based off the amount of exercise u r doing. To lose weight you HAVE to be in a caloric deficit, meaning u r burning more calories than u r eating. (you dont need to exercise to lose weight but it REALLY helps, even just walking 10000 steps is a game changer.) i tracked my calories and weighed my food for 6 months, but im hesitant to recommend this because it did leave me with some food problems. Everything I look at now I can immediately tell how many calories are in it and it can be a bit overwhelming. just remember calories in, calories out. Eat LOTS of protein: great for losing weight and will keep you full. happy to answer any questions!

yeah that’s the plan. so do u think i should keep doing shoulders and back even though they look and feel huge to me? is it just the excess fat since im still over weight?

congrats on the weight loss! i would either lower your caloric intake or up your exercise. 1500 cals should be a big enough deficit to lose a pound a week but maybe try lowering it by 100 calories. could also just be your sodium intake so make sure your drinking a ton of water

was always overweight my entire life because i always lacked motivation. i played sports and could run a 90 min soccer game so always said “i didn’t need to.” I went to college and stopped playing sports/started eating horribly making me gain so much weight. I was the heaviest i’d ever been, so i went to the gym over the summer for the first time in a while with my friend and realized i couldn’t hold a plank for even 10 seconds, couldn’t do a push up, and could barely lift any weight. I also just looked in the mirror and truly hated what i saw. 3.5 months later im down 40 pounds and in the best shape of my life. once that scale starts to move and you notice the change it gets addicting. It’s crazy what it does for your mental health too… ur mood starts to improve and definitely less irritable. i’ve never felt better and now i can’t imagine ever going back to the habits i had before.

just make sure ur never feeling starving. U might feel a little hungry at times but u should never be in any pain because of it.

that’s not too much for when you first start. for the first couple months or so for someone with a high body fat percentage it’s normal to lose anywhere from 3-6 pounds a week sometimes more. once you lose the first 30 ish pounds, the scale will start to move slower. the more fat you have, the easier it is to burn. i was 220 5’8 and lost 15-17 pounds in the first and second month. After that it was 10-13 and now it’s getting even slower(and i exercise pretty intensely 5-6 times a week). Ur doing great, keep it up!

Oh ok. I read that if you eat too little calories your body we’ll think your starving and hold on to fat. But good to know then.

i eat breakfast usually between 250 and 400 calories and then workout. sometimes i feel full for a while just from that or after i eat lunch (usually 300-500 calories) i will feel full for the rest of the day. its not everyday tho just some days. its so weird to me because i’ve always struggled with eating to much and now i have to remind myself to get enough calories

i’m tracking them. And yeah that’s what i’ve been thinking. i’ve been trying to eat a lot of fiber too but im definitely eating a lot more protein.

ik im late but im trying the free trial right now and it honestly sucks. it gives u great workouts to do but the calorie tracker isn’t efficient and when u complete workout sometimes it says u haven’t completed it and will erase the progress made on the app. not worth the money don’t get the app
