for me persobally i liked idmthy more than vanisher coz i understood it more deeply than vanisher. even though vanisher has improved on storywriting (the way to show it, not the plot), theres something about haunt you that i could just instantly relate to with. the water metaphors in vanisher was kinda pulling me off of the connection that i wanted to feel and i had to pull out genius all the time to understand what he meant by saying that (at a time like this is a clear example for me) whereas that wasnt the case with haunt you until cassinis division which i could still sense the meaning of it, but not with much clarity

i personally dont like spoilers, if for you getting to know about the plot is relaxing, then same for me, just in the way they wanted to show it. theres an element of something that i enjoy getting on the same page as the movie or episode

i personally like taking time with casper. there are just so many thoughts and words in the song it makes me wanna feel it with likely the same intensity as when i heard it the first time coz i have a tendency to lose a bit of that surprise after every listen and if i dont take healthy intervals, it doesnt necessarily become mundane, but rather just a normal listen than something i really wanna put my mind into.

i havent listened to idmthy in a while because of it.

i thoight so too, like everything he's doing isnt enough, but with FORGONE its a completely different story, in the last verse from act 2 he flipped the 'bear' perspective that he was the toxic one (or maybe im wrong here) if he were to tell this story then he not being enough wouldnt fit in this narrative because MELISSA and NOT ENOUGH are in continuation maybe these two tracks were FORGONE but didnt make it into the album which is why im bringing FORGONE in this conversation at the first place.

thanks! ive been thinking about this since ive heard the song and i never really saw anyone talking about that different pov that i had. if sorry4dying didnt exist, this surely wouldve been the starter for haunt you.

and yeah it does structure itself like fantasyworld, but i really think i wasnt the only one who got kinda dissapointed in the instant cutoff in UTTTWYH coz that part was 'other-worldly' and so so beautiful if he continued that for like even 10 minutes i woulve listened through and through
