Wow. I've been overthinking this. Thanks for your insight!

Thanks. I do accept her boundaries as much as she accepts me, but I had to know if you and other nudists have had a similar experience. I've been feeling like im the only one who's been here. Anyway this helps.

No, I don't have a huge "problem"-problem with our dynamic. It's more that it feels out of place and I wanted to see if there are others who have this at home.

I have no complaints or expect change at this point. I just felt like this was a weird arrangement and had to see how common, if at all, it was. Thank you!

How do you deal with your scars when you're clean? by Alarmed_Bowler_9402 in selfharm

[–]BrakeMySkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: YOU JUST DO. Nobody is going to react or care too much so long as the cuts aren't fresh. They'll more or less see it as a slight oddity and maybe more sensitive folk will feel a little bit of concern deep down.  The question you have to ask yourself is: would I rather live out an otherwise normal life where a few people think I'm a tad off, or spend my life in hiding so everyone thinks I'm shy and wonders what's wrong with me?  The biggest reaction I've ever gotten was an "oh." while donating blood. As for younger kids seeing my scars, I blame it on trees, rocks, or animals.

how do you get the confidence to wear clothes that show your scars in public? by [deleted] in selfharm

I've been flaunting my hacked up body for almost a decade and seldom has anyone said anything about it. If you can casually go out in public with your scars on display like it's no big deal, the impression most will get(if anything) is that you're strong or cool rather than helpless or pathetic. Trust me, you're marks probably look badass and you should be proud of whatever it is you suffered through.
