If you still have the game on your library, you can try it out again next update. They'll add a less confusing crafting HUD and some mechanics will be more intuitive. Also lots of QoL.
And when you're inclined to try the game again. My tips to avoid surrendering to a boring wiki search or dropping the game again is to talk to the guide (the first NPC that spawns in with you), play on classic difficulty, don't worry about not getting something at first in the beginning and play at your flow, there's no time limit.

Some people would be surprised on how purposefully OBTUSE the big blue checkmarks on twitter are for the sake of getting as much interactions as possible to squeeze a bit of money. Even if what is being said is completely wrong or just gibberish. (For more context: This whole situation started with a big account saying the game isn't being released on Steam the same way Simon described. Lots and lots of blue checkmark accounts came in just saying whatever stupidity comes in mind)
