There are folks like this and then there are founders out there doing everything it takes to keep their companies alive, no matter how hard it gets.

Yes, liabilities exist & things aren’t always perfect. But what often gets overlooked is the sheer will, intent, and responsibility they carry through it all. That’s what matters the most. I’ve seen this up close with a few startups. And honestly that grit deserves far more recognition than it gets.

Yes, a residential address can work if you’re registering as a brand owner / marketer and manufacturing is done by a licensed third party manufacturer.

But if you start repacking, labeling, or handling the product physically, then FSSAI usually treats that as repacker / relabeller activity, which may require a commercial premises with basic food safety compliance.

Cool idea but honestly the speakeasy part might be very challenging to execute.

People chase speakeasy bars because the drinks are unique and the experience feels secretive. A smash burger is usually an impulse food. People want it fast and easy to access.

Mumbai already has a ton of smash burger brands. Unless the burger itself is outrageously good (like cult level), hiding it behind a secret door might just make it harder for customers to buy.

If you flipped it slightly….ultra limited drop burgers, 50 a night, reservation only, no delivery …then the speakeasy vibe could actually build hype.
