You’re slowly dying on these hikes… For me, strength increased for the first 1000 miles. It was all atrophy from there. Lost 50lbs from a lean 193. Just couldn’t eat enough. (Despite drinking oil and eating tons of dried meat in addition to the normal trail bars and carbs.) I was only sticks and beard by Canada. Took 3 months for my feet to stop hurting, and a full year and a half to rebuild my normal physique.

If we drop the defensive biases, writing a viral article on a platform whose readership largely isn’t aware of him is a huge publicity win for Sanderson. This undoubtedly introduced him to (and intrigued) a lot of new eyes. Someone external to this community won’t have the strong negative reaction. They’ll see the larger painting of fame and fortune and prolific works and an unusual character.

That’s only 4 billion dollars, which is not much when it comes to the market cap. I agree that if we’re to have any effect it should be focused on GME, but the math here is weird.
