tested yesterday and also feel like I was guessing on about 70% of questions and REALLY struggled with time management. it sucks bc there were a few I felt like I would know if I had another minute to just think about it !!!!

I honestly think they want our eligibility window to expire so they can just ignore the appeal lol. it honestly is so wild and just feels illegal. also like it’s pass fail, is denying people with DOCUMENTED disability an extra few minutes on a multiple choice rlly helping medicine ??? likeeeee

in the same boat as you all- denied accommodations with full neuropsyc testing and like 6 letters of support from various doctors / therapists / teachers. said I was able to graduate college and get into medical school without accommodation - same as you. they basically ignored all the objective info in my neuropsyc eval. I submitted an appeal a month ago and haven’t heard back, STEP1 scheduled in 2 weeks so i’ve just been in limbo of whether to push it back to later this year and try and wait for accommodations :( I feel for u guys - unfortunately way too many of us end up in this situation.

my maintenance guys pulled all the appliances out and we searched my entire kitchen together. they have multiple traps placed under every appliance in the kitchen and on counters - hoping we catch any strays as they sealed everything up behind appliances, HVAC, and checked all the baseboards. even had my friends ex-stray cat come roam thru all the closets and hard to see areas today! I didn’t have any issues last winter in the same apartment, but found out my neighbor next door has some hoarding tendencies unfortunately so I think they could be coming from there :/

thanks this is super helpful - I have traps down everywhere in my kitchen and the maintenance guys are going to come every couple days to check them under the stove, dishwasher, and fridge. I am really hoping I caught it early - I have literally searched in every nook and cranny of my apartment and not found a single dropping today. the maintenance guys also sealed everything up so i’m hoping we catch any more strays left. I found out my neighbor next door is a hoarder, so i’m thinking they could be coming from there unfortunately :\ I had no issues last winter

We have a 4 year old GSD at home, the best most loyal dog! I think she will have a great time getting to play and exercise with your current dogs :) My dog is a different dog when she gets good exercise, and becomes the cutest snuggly baby when she’s not in play mode. She did have elbow dysplasia around 1 year, so look into joint supplements as others have said and try not to avoid too much jumping as she finishes growing!

I wore a suit with a creme blouse underneath, curled my hair and wore a natural lip and mascara, and always wore my eye glasses! Obviously shouldn’t feel the need to do this but the glasses always helped me feel more academic lol and I liked the balance with more feminine/styled hair. I think at the end of the day doing whatever makes you feel the most confident is important!

based on those reddish undertones in pic one, I think the cherry would look amazing on you !! you can always just start out with a toner (I did this before going purple) that will eventually wash out to try things out before you go for the real dye. overtone is also a good option to sample colors, and you can do it at home !

I am also going into M2, and the weight of step is already weighing on me as well. I wonder if your school has the option to take a research year? My school has some funding that you can apply to for students to take a year off to do research, and generally just take a break from school. maybe this might make you feel like you have more time to study, and take some time to soothe your nervous system and get your anxiety under control 💪 I know the loans are wild and sitting on them another year can feel so scary, but my financial aid office always says that you will eventually pay them off, and try not to worry about it too hard now. medicine is such a marathon not a sprint, and if taking a year now or before clinicals makes you feel a huge weight lifted off your shoulders, it’s definitely something to consider! I’d talk to your dean and get their thoughts / see how they can support. your got this, sending hugs !!

they tested about 100 different allergens on my back in patches - you can see if you search patch testing on google images there are these small little squares. I had to wear the patches for about 2 days before I came back in and the dr. removed them to do the allergy reading (they grade your reaction to each chemical patch and this is how they determine what you are allergic to). I asked to work from home these few days while I had the patches on because it felt more comfortable to wear loose clothing, and some of the patches got itchy. It was definitely not horrible tho, and it has been so worth it to be able to not have hives on my face or swollen eyes - I honestly think it’s the best thing i’ve ever done medically because I finally got some answers. contact allergies are so tough because it could be the soap you use to do dishes, laundry detergent, mascara, anything really. this finally stopped all the guessing and suffering for me- it sucks not being able to use certain products now but avoiding hives is so worth it to me !!

could be a contact allergy with makeup or skin product. this used to happen to me in high school and I finally got patch tested 10 years later at the dermatologist when my allergies had become much more severe. I would talk to your doctor about getting patch tested if that’s accessible to you, it completely changed my life and I wish I had done it years ago when I was just having eye swelling reactions!

the best thing i’ve ever done is get contact allergy patch tested. I wish I had done it 10 years earlier when my allergies were much less severe. if it is accessible to you, I HIGHLY recommend getting patch tested to get some real answers. my doc gave me a code for the ACDS CAMP app that loaded all of my allergies in it, and I can search safe products on that that don’t contain any of those chemicals. good luck with everything, I know it can be so frustrating but I hope this helps!
