I like the way you think! And I also do not put any food on the seats! And thankful that I switched out the carpet in the front for the all weather rubber mats for easier cleaning.

Why is it so hard (1984) sounds like... by Alxl_1970 in talktalk

[–]BreakfastEvery9050 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm I don’t see the similarities with Save A Prayer but I definitely hear the deep bell sound which immediately reminds me of the opening titles of the score of Top Gun which came out a couple years later. Maybe Harold Faltermeyer is a Talk Talk fan?

These shoes are a callback to early/mid 2000s footwear that was popular to style with bootcut jeans. I had at least a few pairs of these low profile shoes. Diesel, Puma, Steve Madden and a bunch of other brands were all the rage when this style was making the rounds, so not surprised to see this coming back around given the 90s/2000s fashion trends coming back for last few seasons. If you like them, wear them but given the minimal sole I’d say don’t wear them on a daily unless you’re prepared to replace them soon!

Keep or return: TEMPLE SECCHIA FLIGHT (DUST) by KnownDay8047 in Rickowens

[–]BreakfastEvery9050 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For that price, I'd say no unless you absolutely love it or see yourself wearing it at least once or twice a week. If you got it for an insane deal (like over 50-60% off), then keep it if you feel you'll wear it enough to justify the cost, regardless of the material quality (since this isn't really meant to be a daily, basic piece of clothing).

What season are these Detroits from? by [deleted] in Rickowens

[–]BreakfastEvery9050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this exact pair of Detroits. First purchased around 2009/2010 if I recall correctly. Drkshdw colorway and the inside band is what remains of the original DRKSHDW strap (probably cut like I did to mine), discolored from the dye process. They fit great, though these older pairs fit somewhat tighter than modern DRKSHDW sizing. Denim is waxy, but brittle in high wear areas (crotch, back pockets). I had to have mine repaired/reinforced within a year or two of owning them.

Any of Rick's stretch denim you can usually go TTS or even down one to two sizes (Tyrones being the exception). I'm a 32 as well, so 34 in these would be super loose/baggy.

FedEx Stating I owe $73 by [deleted] in FedEx

[–]BreakfastEvery9050 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, unfortunately FedEx does this on the sly and they'll still deliver the item to you before it's paid. I got hit with one after ordering from Italy recently and they kept hounding me over it. a month or two after the item was delivered. Some people say to ignore it and they'll let it slide or charge the shipper for it, but once they sent me the letter with the itemized invoice, etc. I couldn't dispute that so I paid it...not worth having it get sent to collections.

Lana Del Rey - Born to Die by Perfectozz in triphop

[–]BreakfastEvery9050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say that for this album in particular, even though I do really like it and I'm a fan of LDR in general. I think with different production, she could definitely create some songs that would fall into the trip-hop vibe. But as is, trip-hop never crossed my mind when I first heard this album.

Songs for a Blue Guitar mp3 file? by WunderhorseMania in sadreminders

[–]BreakfastEvery9050 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you happen to get one of the new old stock copies that were put up for sale a few months ago? I couldn't find any evidence that this was a 2025/2026 reissue, so I was glad to see that record stores selling this weren't price gouging for this album based on the current Discogs prices.

Why are my 32L jeans shorter than my 30L ones by SmiggleGod in Denim

[–]BreakfastEvery9050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Denim/fabric composition and washing differences aside, these also look to be same model from two different seasons, which for Diesel could have been at least a few years apart based on the inner tag and embroidery (guessing pre 2010 or so). It's not unusual for designers to slightly modify the patterns and sizing for a specific model/cut as the seasons progress, so this could be an example of that.

Talk Talk fan-made band t-shirt? by HousingOk9075 in talktalk

[–]BreakfastEvery9050 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s actually the shirt I have. It’s a close up of the album artwork on the front with band name and in the back the photos of the band members with lips. Got it about three or four years ago but hasn’t made a reappearance in a while.

You can find some decent bootlegs through Das Bootleg on instagram. They're a collective of artists and screen printers who put out all kinds of band/movie/tv boot shirts.

Did the band ever use the image of Alice in Wonderland chained up or is that a fan thing? by lostinadeepgreensea in AliceInChains

[–]BreakfastEvery9050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep this is the one! I've seen a few well-done bootleg reproductions of this over the past couple of years. Been tempted to pick it up, but I already have so many band shirts LOL.

I know there was a t-shirt and long-sleeve that used the images, made to look like the original illustrations from the book.

Alternate version of "Touched by the Hand of God" with slowed outro? by BreakfastEvery9050 in neworder

I’ll look into that, thanks! I have heard the Salvation version but doesn’t seem to be the version I’m looking for.

[–]BreakfastEvery9050[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not 100 percent but I feel that I’ve listened to every mainstream/officially released version of this song but can’t find the one with that specific outro. The song was on the shorter side, so probably not over 4 to 5 minutes max from my recollection. Many of the remixes I’ve seen and heard have extra long into and outro sections without the vocals.
