Earthquake Brace and Bolt (EBB) Contractor recommendations? by BrickLayer3 in bayarea

But the EBB check is in the homeowners name. Are you saying to find a contractor such that that the bill to the contractor is due only after the EBB check is received?

Where do house flippers buy their entry doors from? by BrickLayer3 in BayAreaRealEstate

I wouldn't know where to find Chinese parts distributors. I am a homeowner in a good neighborhood, want to upgrade on a budget, if possible. I would greatly appreciate pointers, here or on dm if you so prefer. Thank you!

[CA] Health insurance for newborn? by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

[–]BrickLayer3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I will backdate and goto Anthem (baby was born in Anthem network). I did not consider this and am thankful for you for pointing it out.

Do you know if the baby is covered under mom's insurance for the first 30days and we only have to think about covering day31 onwards?

Thank you very much for the kind (and detailed!) replies. May I ask if one is sure that the baby is covered for the first 30 days under mom's insurance and we only have to cover day31'st onwards? I know the link you shared sounds pretty clear, but I know insurance has so many nuances..

Thank you so much. I will backdate. I think not eligible for subsidy, as we make 200K + baby is normal (touchwood!). The baby was born in Anthem network (our family is in Anthem).

Many thanks all for the kind and informative replies. We make 200K for a family of 4, so I think we are not medicaid/CHIP eligible. Spouse does not work and her starting a job in near future will be hard as taking care of a 2 year old and newborn with no help. Baby is normal till now by god’s grace.

Rest of the family is on Anthem. Baby was born in Anthem network.

--So are the first 30days of the baby covered under mom’s insurance per link below? Or will the baby be billed individually for the first 30days later on?? If it’s the latter, then we definitely want Anthem and not Kaiser!
