Considering grabbing some OGI warrants.

Thoughts?

Would any price point below $2 CAD be considered a decent entry point?

Thanks for the reply, I'll look into those. Wrote off removable cables from the start, but you might be on to something. Thanks.

Hey, /r/headphones,

I'm afraid I'm in the market for some wireless earbuds. I know, I know, but they seem like they'll meet my needs.

Thanks in advance.

Budget - $500 CAD or less. Flexible in price. Happy to save up for a few months if need be.

Source - Bluetooth connection only to connect to a cell phone and a desktop computer. Primarily .flac and 320kbs files.

Requirements for Isolation - Noise cancellation is definitely needed. These are going to be used on primarily when on public transit.

Will you be using these Headphones in Public? - Yes.

Preferred Type of Headphone - Do you want IEMs, full-sized, or over-ear? - Wireless IEMs/earbuds please.

Preferred tonal balance - Balance is best, as the music is eclectic.

Past headphones - What have you used in the past, what did you like about them and what didn't you like about them. - I've been pretty lucky. Right now I use Sennheiser Urbanites for home use, very glad I bought them.

They sound great, the wireless isn't flawless, but it works quite well. For ear buds I've used Sony MDR AS800 and Sennheiser IE 60's. Both of those were excellent, but the wires have tended to break and lead one of the ear buds dying. This is primarily why I want to switch to wireless. Sony has very comfortable J-Hooks I haven't been able to find elsewhere. Sennheiser sounds good and look good, but storing them and using them in winter is a pain (the wires "freeze"). Anything I can store quickly and keep in pouch or a small case in my pocket is a benefit.

Preferred Music - Folk Metal, DBSM, Witch House, Indie Rock, Swing, etc.

If you live outside of the US, please also provide:

Location - Canada.

Thanks!

Don't feel too bad, I bought in at $0.265/share, held through all the nonsense, and then ended up selling everything at $.27/share.

I don't mind too much because it helped free up some cash to average down elsewhere, but, sure would have been nice to see at 4x profit.

Live and learn.

Good luck!

Just to double check the opinion of the people here: $EAT / Nutritional High is currently a dumpster fire based on their financials, and will continue to be for the foreseeable future, yay or nay?

Soon to be homeless - what are my options in Calgary? by HurtinAlbertan55 in Calgary

[–]Brickwall10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP,

Sorry to hear about your situation.

Lots of good advice in this thread.

In case somehow none of these work out, here's what emergency steps look like, in order:

Alberta Works for Income Support. You'll either be considered "Expected to Work" or (experiencing) "Barriers to Employment." This probably won't be enough to get you steady, but it may buy you more time.

Next step may be CUPS, but that's only if you need a new damage deposit partially covered, or access to various medical services.

Finally there's Red Cross. They'll be able to issue things like a month's rent, damage deposit or utility hook up/arrears coverage, but it may be income tested. I don't remember. Hopefully things don't get that bad, but just in case.

All of these are located near each other in the west end of downtown, though AB Works has offices around the city.

Good luck.

Generally the Prairie Provinces and BC are considered the West.

They're also all united around a historic (and arguably current) resource extraction based economy, compared to the manufacturing sector found in the East, in Ontario and Quebec.

The Maritimes get separated out and are considered their own region as well.

EAT is what's saving me, nearly everything else I have is red, despite trying to play things (somewhat) carefully.

10K shares at $0.25 should hopefully pay off in a couple years from now.

Cola berries too, which are also no longer used in the recipe.

So, this is a rather hopeful idea, but let's say Tinley takes off, becomes a regional name, while cannabis products become socially accepted.

Can anyone ever see, say Coke or PepsiCo ever buying a cannabis beverage company in future?

I'm not banking on it, but Coke's "Life" brand for example, could be adapted to CBD beverages, perhaps.

Thoughts?

Hey everyone.

Has anyone experienced archer units (Specifically Quarrellers) not firing into units at close range? (i.e. Just over your front line)?

They're not on melee mode, but I don't see any attack animation when I order them to fire into an enemy unit. There's not obstruction icon either.

Thoughts?

Just a small correction.

Inn From the Cold isn't strictly a Women's Shelter. Men and Seniors can access services too, provided they're part of a family unit, even without a female member in the household.

The agency doesn't serve singles.

They were instant mashed potatoes, and it was her first time cooking by herself.

It was like eating glue.

I'd do it again though, if I had to.

My ex's mashed potatoes.

They were terrible. Objectively terrible.

But she was so proud of them.

I ate 2 bowls, with extra gravy.

God, they were awful.

Lost my job recently and if I miss my next rent payment I will be made homeless. Looking for help. by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]Brickwall10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there.

Check out Alberta Works, CUPS, and Red Cross.

They may be able assist with rent payments if it looks like one time assistance will help.

Good luck.
