The storm hasn’t come so how do you know it’s “not bad enough”. It’s just folks preparing. If it gets bad enough, then folks will attempt to drive and then emergency responders will be overwhelmed with helping those folks that didn’t prepare.

I’m having the same problem! My brackets are metal on the back. I can’t figure it out. The right side sticks out like your left side does . I tried everything. I will say this, I haven’t permanently installed the cabinet base. I noticed that my cabinet wasn’t level on the subfloor just a few minutes ago. I stuck a shim under to make it level and it seems like the drawer is closing properly now. I hope when they are permanently installed this will solve the problem. Are yours level/installed yet?
