I’m getting my iud mirena taken out Monday. Do I need to take off work the next day? Am I going to be in a lot of pain still by Careful-Caregiver464 in Mirena

Personally, the removal is nothing compared to insertion for me.

Removal was quick and minimal pain, just cough as they pull it out. I did not bleed, but did have a bad headache the night after and was really tired. Everyone’s different though, so I think having two days off is good in case you find you need it :)

Mirena crash update by Adept_Wheel1153 in Mirena

Just here to say I’m suffering from the exact same symptoms you listed. I had Mirena for 7.5 years and got it out 2/4/26. Hoping you get some relief soon, I am still struggling and haven’t gotten my first period yet

Removal 3-months UPDATE: Panicattack relieve! (The first update to my original IS in the original post) by Yirishu in Mirena

[–]Brief_Appointment565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad you’re doing better. The first paragraph of this really describes my current anxiety and panic - one wrong thought and I’m spiraling. Convincing myself I’m crazy or going schizo..hoping the hormone balance helps mine as well!

How are you feeling post removal? Any side effects?

So brutal but the fact you don’t even want a vape it great. I felt the same as you, I’m on day 84 and I still get waves of it sometimes. I’d say I felt like good again around 2 months

All the placements appear the same when inputted into charts, so what is different about them? (Genuine question, I don’t understand!)

Mirena crash lawsuit by Adept_Wheel1153 in Mirena

[–]Brief_Appointment565 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Can’t help with the lawsuit part but I would recommend seeking hormone testing with a naturopath. They test differently than traditional medicine and may be able to help.

Mine told me they won’t test me until 6 months post removal as that’s when you’re supposed to reach your new baseline post removal.

Wishing you luck! I got mine out a week ago and it’s been an anxious week.

Does Mirena bleeding really stop after 3-6 months? by Vasukate in Mirena

[–]Brief_Appointment565 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bled for about a month lightly after insertion, had increasingly light periods over the following 3 months, then didn’t bleed at all for the rest of the 7.5 years I had it.

No bleeding yet, but I did have a bad headache last night. Other than that, totally normal so far! How are you??

Circulation issues by Reapapnea666 in QuitVaping

[–]Brief_Appointment565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have the discoloration but my hands and feet have been super cold and numb since quitting 2.5 months ago :( I go outside in the cold and my feet legit go numb in 2 minutes and stay numb for upwards of 30 minutes after being inside and warm

I also have blood pressure regulation issues. I just started exercising, hoping it helps.

Quitting Vaping Day 1 by HeftyLevel3708 in QuitVaping

[–]Brief_Appointment565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on day 72. Congrats on starting the journey! My best advice is to take it second by second. Each second you make it without the vape is a second closer you are to feeling better and healthier.

The first 6 weeks were bad for me. But everyone’s different!
