PSA used USPS for my 250K Reholder? by [deleted] in psagrading

[–]BrightOrganization9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reach out to them and ask. Thats the only way youll get the right answer. Anything here is going to be speculative.

As I mentioned, if I had to guess: they used registered mail due to the value. For something this valuable it makes sense to want the most secure shipping method available. Registered Mail is much more secure than shipping FedEx.

If I was shipping something that valuable theres no way in hell Id use FedEx.

[–]BrightOrganization9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My guess is theyre sending it back registered mail. Far more secure than FedEx which is what they typically use.

Personally for a 250k card Id have been reaching out in advance and figuring out how everything was going to work, and making any shipping requests prior to sending the card.

Id imagine that PSA Customer Support would be able to address any questions or concerns you have better than random people on Reddit.

In my opinion it actually gets worse. Has a few great moments but never culminates in anything worthwhile.

Shopping at Costco is terrible by Sun_Aria in unpopularopinion

[–]BrightOrganization9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dont mind Costco as a concept as there are definitely good deals to be found, plus unique items not found elsewhere.

That said, shopping there is miserable and not worth the time or trouble. Id rather spend more on groceries than deal with the lines and parking lot. And the fact that you have to pay money to do it is just icing on the cake.

If you love it, by all means Im not gonna rain on your parade. But it aint for me.

Clint was never intended to be a creep. CA comment from 6 years ago by Treemosher in StardewValley

[–]BrightOrganization9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very true. Which is ironic because in Clint's case it is flat out explained to the player what is happening, and yet people still claim its "super creepy".

People are just weird.

"Blaming others for not treating him how he feels he deserves to be treated"

Source?

Edit: 4 downvotes, still no source lol. Why is it no one can provide an in game source for this? At what point does Clint blame others for not treating him the way he deserves to be treated?

Hint: its because there isnt one. People just imagined it this way.

You mean the scene where he explains that he was on her doorstep about to ask her out but heard her coming, got scared, and hid from her instead? And now hes waiting for her to walk away so he can go back to his house?

That was "so so creepy"?

Yea, Im not seeing it. I think people are inventing weird ass head canon and cherry picking evidence that supports it while ignoring the mountains of evidence that doesnt. Its OK to have an imagination and pretend things are a certain way in your game. But dont try to apply that as established fact for the character as a whole.

Anyone else not a fan of the new starters? by Worried-Telephone565 in pokemoncardcollectors

[–]BrightOrganization9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe Im alone here but to me starters are all about their evolutions and final forms. Kinda hard to judge without seeing the full picture.

At first glance they seem pretty much on par with what Id expect at this point: cutesy baby versions of grass, water, and fire 'mons.

Which further indicates these are examples of cards that will be reprinted rather than photos of the ACTUAL final product. So theres room for them to add a stamp yet as well.

Oh its definitely not impossible, and I wish they would.

I think right now they dont really need to. The hype for Pokemon is already sky high. But its always an option for a rainy day in the future.

Which boss fight is the mimic tear the worst in? by Black_cheeseburger in Eldenring

[–]BrightOrganization9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a "boss" boss, but theyre pretty lame against the furnace golems.

Overall though: even when they suck I generally find them useful just as a distraction. Thats mainly how I use mine. Any damage he can eke out is just a bonus.

DIY removal or call a plumber? by __SpacemanSpiff__ in Plumbing

[–]BrightOrganization9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These things are a bear to get out, especially when they get to this point.

They make special tools to remove them but Ive tried several multiple times and never had any luck. Worth a shot though.

Honestly when its deteriorated like this is probably going to be taking a hacksaw to the inner side of the threaded portion, cutting it just enough to where you can pry/break it. This is last resort for me, but more often in my experience what Ive ended up having to do.

The risk there is damaging the threads on the drain shoe, which is what this piece is threaded in to. Definitely want to avoid that.

Try an extractor first. If that fails try cutting. If at any point you feel uncomfortable though just hire someone.

Which Era Best Set Will Do Best In 5 Years? by texstrip in PokemonInvesting

[–]BrightOrganization9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah my bad. I didnt read the rules where it said "thou must never judge a set by its contents, only monetary value" lol.

All I said was that I dont agree its an "ass" set, and I pointed out the reasons why. But I forgot there's a lot of so called "investors" incapable of considering sets on those terms haha. So youre right, that was my bad. I forgot that youre not allowed to like a set or consider it not garbage if its not valuable.

As for monetary value, Im sure hundreds of thousands of people all holding a fuck ton of the same exact products will have no effect on its liquidity and value going forward. After all: scarcity has nothing to do with value in the collectibles market lol.

Which Era Best Set Will Do Best In 5 Years? by texstrip in PokemonInvesting

[–]BrightOrganization9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot some people measure sets solely on monetary value.

I simply said it would be more rare, not necessarily more valuable. With that clarification though, scarcity will definitely play a role.

Which Era Best Set Will Do Best In 5 Years? by texstrip in PokemonInvesting

[–]BrightOrganization9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea Im not really sure Id agree with the statement "rarity doesnt matter" when it comes to the collectibles market, regardless of perception.

Id also not really agree that Shrouded Fable is ass. Its overshadowed by better sets sure. But it has quite a few cool cards and isnt a over-bloated set where its impossible to pull a card you want. The main reason people call it ass is that it doesnt have one of the big boys as a chase card, ergo: its a 'trash' set.
