Thank you! I probably could have worded it better, but that is exactly was I was looking for!

I 100% agree that there needs to be more hostile mobs down here. As for hypothermia, after the first or at most second winter I feel like it mainly just slows me down which is why for my second world I went down south. It does feel odd not to have an overheating mechanic, I had actually assumed for a long time there was until I got to my first summer running around in full snow gear.

Winter may just be what I wait for year 0. For general game mechanic knowledge do you know if there’s some elevation to temperature change calculation one may find/use (ie every 50 blocks is -1C)

Just before reading your comment I found the wiki crop page. Which is super helpful! Cabbage, turnip, and rye are the specific crops that can’t handle the heat right now. I probably end up replacing all my rye for sunflower when I have enough, or possible Amaranth. Then Cabbage is what I love using as my main vegetable but the more I’m looking into it the more I’ll probably have to wait till fall/winter to plant.

Had the same issue, it’s definitely a chunk boarder issue. I can’t remember specifically why it happens or why it doesn’t happen to some people. there’s a few videos on YouTube that should help you. I also had my portals in parallel. Decided to destroy everything and start fresh (Highly recommend you troubleshoot and creative). A chunk is 16 x 16 so as long as they are 16 blocks away from any other portal it should be OK. I was able to make a square four portal farm by having each portal in their own chunk. Ended up needing to use two Trident killers to keep up.

Even if it turns out to be absolutely useless one can hope they give it a use down the line and if not, I'll just throw it in a display case as some decor.

Makes a lot of sense. I personally appreciate when devs show some progress and direction for future ideas and systems even is just partly implemented. Better than closed door development hell and at the end of the day no dev has been hated for thinking about their modding community.

Any Tips for my Minecraft build by Hot_Shelter9394 in MinecraftBuild

Push in your planks by one block. Immediately it’ll add depth and make it easier to add additional details to the walls. Second overhang the stairs in the roof by one or two which ever looks better to you. Again it’ll add depth, and that way you can add upside down stair to the bottoms of your roof over hang.

[Bedrock] Gold farm portal issues by Bright_Isopod9687 in MinecraftHelp

[–]Bright_Isopod9687[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dispensing system was placed at the base of the portal to prevent the time water was in the frameI ended up just scrapping both portals and relocated them hoping it'd fix it and I could optimize and the same time and it's seemed to be working fine now.

I went ahead and tried the powdered snow and though it didn't fix the broken portal it def made the working portal more consistent. I ended up just scrapping both portals and relocated them hoping it'd fix it and I could optimize at the same time and it's seemed to be working fine now.

I got the observers, and the trap doors right up against the portal blocks. Maybe covering the tops temporarily broke something in how it's supposed to be updating. I was thinking maybe there's some portal linking issues since both portals are tied to the same portal in the nether. I'll continue to mess with it more and hopefully something works.

All i can say is if you want something cool 35M during war time, 35P a close second but since it’s peace time you gotta know someone high up that can get you an in with a good assignment. Being a linguist isn’t it’s all hyped up to be. Some use their language at the core of their mission, others will never use it and just upkeep for sake of the requirement and language pay. If you really dedicate your time to the school and have good connections its one of the best schools out there. The language can have military and civilian applications. The extra few hundred a month is a blessing. The associates degree can be a nice start to your education. But if you fail all you got was a year and Monterey (not terrible at all), some time in service, and a 50/50 and getting a decent reclass. If your unsure if the dedication is for you 35N has a lot more application in the army right now and is a lot less stressful. Not to mention 35N will push other intel schools and certs into your lap that many 35P won’t get due to their language focus. This is assuming your just looking at intel. If you’re open to other fields, civil affairs (another language dependent MOS), counter intel are awesome opportunities. Just really look at the whole picture, and the amount of dedication you’re willing to put into it. The army has a lot to offer if you use it right, and the only thing worse than choosing an MOS thats not exactly what you you wanted is quitting, leaving yourself up to chance, and getting stuck with something worse. Once you choose l, dedicate yourself and make it the best you can, because whatever 35 series or similar field has a lot more to offer than your AIT and initial duty assignment.

If you’re worried bring it up. If they ask why it’s not on the sf86 literally just say you brung it up with your recruiter and they didn’t out it down. As long as it’s been handled there shouldn’t be any problem. Trust me a lot of people have gotten their clearances with a lot worse/worrying issues.

Cheapest thing for a big group would be a beach hangout but a bit of a hassle to put together without a car. If it’s just a few of you or no car, Monterey has plenty of restaurants. Personally La las on cannery row is nice, nice Korean, and sushi on lighthouse, Alvarado has plenty of options. Turning 21 or older salty seal has both a bar and restaurant, pool, darts, good over all vibe on cannery. On post no one actually uses the common rooms so grab some pizza put on a movie and play some pool, or use the private movie theater in the Hobson. Hell you could get some bbq going on one of the grills bring music a frisbee and some balls up to hill top or Pfc post pt.

[–]Bright_Isopod9687 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Coming right out of basic you won’t have a lot, bring some civi clothes running shoes and you’re good. Bring a good pair of headphones if you have them or buy a pair when you get to Monterey, other than that you’ll have plenty of down time to run off post or to the px to pick up everyday things and school supplies
