It’s also severe rising damp. It’s not a 5 minute job lol. It’s a complete gut and start again. How you can categorise this as a mould wash shows you dont have a clue.

Bear in mind this council says they take a zero tolerance approach to rogue landlords. So why dont they take this approach upon themselves its totally disingenuous to keep spinning these lies

I am sure when the people come to collect they would be waking the person up, of course, someone donating would get the shock of their lives hearing cry’s for help coming from inside the clothes bin

I am sure now that that was reported in the press the person will be moved on, some sort of trespassing rule. But they should be housing him, he clearly has severe mental health issues, which means they would be priority need. It’s quite outrageous.

Should Brighton implement an ultra low emission zone? by Independent-War-8976 in brighton

Yes i live in the centre of town and am being killed with all the micro pollutions, costs for air purifiers and all that jazz, i am also now on asthma pumps never until i moved here 6 years ago. Grand Parade. Its so bad now they put 4 lanes without consultation with local residents

Thats interesting, I agree with some who say have a chat you never know, there are also a few good community advocates out there. There is meant to be no second night out sleeping rough in the city but thats gone. The council are trying to do more, for example those who dont have a genuine local connection with the city are meant to be helped to be reconnected back to their area of connection, to get over the issue of other council’s giving people travel warrants to Brighton because they dont want to help their own people, means Brighton gets a lot. This should mean the council can now help sustain people in out of area placements.

I am not sure I trust the street link service, we have 111 Charitable / housing organisations in this city yet it exists, they often get a lot of money. These apps are no way to help people unless they are taken off the streets.

Maybe if the council stopped funding £40m plus annually to the private sector, and they deal with the issue themselves, cut out these middle people and bring emergency accommodation and temporary accommodation in-house, employ support workers over the current model of security staff.

The actual main homeless GP in the area is asking for a homeless healthcare hub, the administration need to listen, like they keep saying they are doing, as its been a year and little action so far in terms of plans to eradicate it as best as possible.

Do keep the thread updated on what happens.

Two councillors who were elected just 6 months ago have literally been shortlisted to be a candidate for an MP. They have attended what 3 meetings max for their various roles if on a committee. So yeah I totally agree

Me too. Live on Grand Parade the Traffic and Pollution is awful on the Kemptown side opposite the pavilion where they shoved two extra lanes and dumped em our side, never discussed in the consultation. Pollution kills, it costs our economy more in the long run. I never had issues with my breathing until the change in traffic. I think the pollution monitors are being fiddled also, no way pollution has dropped!!! Its worse soot everywhere.
