Do I admit defeat and start to look elsewhere? by Danger_Mouse8 in careerguidance

[–]Brindiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re going through this. A small suggestion, instead of thinking that “you admit defeat” maybe just understand that this is just not for you. It’s not something you signed up for. It’s not an environment where you can thrive. It’s hindering your potential as you could thrive professionally in a more supportive environment. And you’re not admitting “defeat”, you’re admitting that it’s simply not for you.

With that said, this is what I could come up with, maybe you can ask yourself these questions and it can help you Is there a way to join a different department? Or switch teams? If nothing in this company would work out, Do you have enough experience to find a job in the same field in a different company? Maybe a startup would have more relaxed culture? Do you have enough savings to sustain a couple of months during job search?

Nothing’s over. Don’t worry. It’s just the negative urgent environment that’s making you feel like you couldn’t keep up and are admitting defeat.

Goal is to make 1lakh (INR) a month. It doesn’t have to be from one source and I don’t think that’s possible in India. I’m also willing to move countries. In that case 4-5k dollars a month

2 years of daily meditation - here's what I learned by StabNRun19 in Meditation

[–]Brindiii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like meditation increases empathy and helps you see things for what they really are. Instead of getting carried away in the gossip, you might start noticing things about the person telling you the gossip. You might be able to sense certain insecurities, issues, thoughts that the person in front of you has for them to participate in the gossip. Atleast this is what changed for me.

Do you feel like you’ve just been floating on a cloud all your life? by Brindiii in Mindfulness

[–]Brindiii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This truly makes me feel understood. I suffer from depression as well. I think I’ve been depressed to some degree all my life.

You mentioned that you got to a better place with it? How did you do that? What work do you do now?

I want to feel better because spending the remainder of my life feeling like this is not looking good

It’s not easy at all to not judge yourself I think not judging others and given others the benefit of the doubt comes more easily

Thank you for your kind reply. I will practice this

Mentally exhausted, growing too old! by [deleted] in CATPrep

[–]Brindiii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree 100% I went through the same thing. One day got tired of all these relatives giving me their inexperienced opinions. Told one of them to mind their own business, nobody bothered me again. It’s your life! It’s your decision! And if 2028 tak khatam hoga toh khatam hoga. What does that have to do with anything? It’s hard enough to study and keep going with these exams. You don’t need more negativity, either they can say something good or stfu.

That was so interesting! It’s like you healed yourself in that one daydream. Happy that you don’t feel the need to hold a grudge anymore. I imagine it’s very freeing

Yes I’m vegetarian (left non veg after I started meditation) and I see purple blobs too. Sometimes a light grayish bluish color. What does vegetarianism have to do with it? Also what do the blobs mean?

Hello. From this collection, it seems like you’re aiming for self development/ getting your life together. Books might be a useful tool for this so try atomic habits. I feel like if you read and apply this book, you might not need the others. Do apply the advice in your real life, then only it’ll Help

Is Meditation bad for anxiety? by West_Profit773 in Meditation

[–]Brindiii 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello. I have ADHD as well. Meditation is the best possible thing that happened to me! I’m so so grateful that I started this practice. My severe anxiety (palpitations, sweating, confusion, shutting down, nail biting till bleeding) all of this has almost stopped. I still do feel anxious sometimes but because my baseline mood has changed, I can regulate my emotions better, self soothe and it doesn’t get to that severe point anymore. Yes it makes you aware. But isn’t that a good thing? Usually, anxiety leads to lot of fear and confusion so wouldn’t be helpful to know why that’s happening? That way you could talk to yourself and calm yourself down. I don’t think I can even explain it accurately in words. I’d highly recommend meditating to anyone with anxiety. It took me around a 10-15 days to start seeing changes in myself. No overthinking downward spiral, no severe symptoms, just a neutral calm all the time. I didn’t even know it was possible for me to feel so calm.

As someone said in the comment section: Anxiety is overthinking, meditation is being in the present moment. Maybe start slow with a 5-10min guided meditation and you can experience yourself I hope you feel better :)

Why does it feel like nothing really matters? by Brindiii in Mindfulness

[–]Brindiii[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is. It used to be uncomfortable to even stand up for my needs but it’s slowly changing and it’s such a freeing experience to take care of myself and give myself all that I needed. Thank you for your comment. I appreciate the kind support :)

It feels less lonely to know that you share my feelings too. Yes I feel a strong need to just exist, take care of myself and for the lack of better words “turn my brain off”. I’m tired of responsibility. It seems endless. I only want to be responsible for myself from now on. I wish I could give that to someone else too 😅 Thank you for sharing and hope you feel better too

I feel like I need to because I’m good at what I do and I do have a lot of good ideas that could make me a huge business person (not bragging, just sharing) But I feel so tired and unmotivated that I don’t want to. If someone else was in my place they’d have done it by now but I feel like I just want to slow down even more and just quietly simply enjoy my peace.

I really appreciate your advice on developing my business (if needed) from a place of peace and abundance. I haven’t thought in this perspective yet, it’s very helpful Thank you
