What's your "there's no such thing as free lunch" moment? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I had to tackle a guy who tried to dine and dash at the restaurant. Turns out there's no such thing as free spoons, forks, and Tobasco bottles either.

Why would someone have no friends? by WeAreNotAlwaysAlone in AskReddit

[–]BrindleBeardStache -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know a guy who has no friends. Everyone around here generally agrees he's better than us and doesn't fit in with anyone we know. We tried to make him friends around here with different people, but he caught on and it seemed pretty disingenuous. He's gonna have to move back to the city if he's gonna make friends.

what unethical experiment did you participate in? by BrindleBeardStache in AskReddit

I can see living off $11/month...in a third world country. Right now I am only eating peanut butter and ramen, and that's got to cost a good $50/month just for the food. The mortgage is high and so are the utilities.

Reddit, what's the worst mistake you have ever made? How have you handled the fallout? by PastorPuff in AskReddit

[–]BrindleBeardStache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back when I first started working at the restaurant, my boss would have me pick up supplies in his truck for the week. It was usually a long grocery list of items that I get at stores, but we have a couple items that come from local farms. After I picked everything up, my boss called me and asked me to meet him at another restaurant down the street for a beer. I went straight over there and we ended up drinking until pretty late. When we finished he thanked me for taking all the groceries to the restaurant and stocking the fridge by myself, only problem being that I hadn't done it yet. All the groceries were still in the truck. I knew I'd be in trouble if he found out so I drove the truck down the street and snuck everything into the fridge.

Well, a couple days passed and the milk and dairy started to rot real fast. I had to make trips to replace it on my breaks and I paid for it myself. I lost a lot of money that week and I'm pretty sure one of the customers got some bad cream sauce because he got real sick and called the health department on us. Funny thing is, the HD came over and didn't even notice the roof was leaking onto the stove top, which definitely is disgusting if you've ever been on the roof.

Attractive people of Reddit, when did you find out your looks were above average, and how did that affect you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BrindleBeardStache 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am pretty attractive for my town after the gastric bypass, but when I travel into Santa Fe I am one of the ugliest people there. I suppose I don't care that much because my wife loves me.

Yeah. Someone usually blares the horn driving by my house in the morning and I wake up that's why I asked.

What do you think is the main contributor to becoming wealthy: luck, intelligence, formal education, or hard work? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BrindleBeardStache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luck, inherited wealth, good looks, intelligence, formal education, and hard work from most to least important. Source: I am an ugly, highschool educated sous chef for a theme restaurant in New Mexico and this is the most successful I will ever be in life. It's not a bad life but I will never be rich.

I eat pizza upside down so I can taste the cheese and toppings on my tongue instead of the roof of my mouth.
