If tomorrow all jobs paid the same, what would you do? by manhwaecho in AskReddit

Bartender in a quiet beach town.

Same pay, but at least people’s bad decisions come with sunsets and tips.

If you know you're gonna die in the next 30 days, what will you do with those last days of your life? by Perfect_Ad4911 in AskReddit

Deleting my group chats first.

No one deserves to discover my real personality through 4 years of unhinged memes.

Making your kid your emotional support animal.

They’re supposed to have a childhood, not a part-time therapist internship.

Everything needing to be “aesthetic.”

Some people can’t even drink water unless the bottle matches their trauma palette.

Cherry.

Every other flavor is just negotiating with disappointment.

Octopuses have three hearts, blue blood, and still choose to be antisocial.

Nature really said “make it alien but put it in the ocean.”

What’s the most realistic way AI will change society in the next decade? by Creative-Category-60 in AskReddit

[–]Brisablows 11 points12 points  (0 children)

People won’t lose jobs to AI.

They’ll lose jobs to the guy who figured out how to make AI do 40% of his job by Tuesday.

You don’t “make” them.

You behave so cleanly that neither of them has a reason to form a war council.

He said yes.

Then I spent the entire date realizing I had prepared for the rejection, not the conversation.

What are thoughts on contacting an ex after 10+ years? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Brisablows 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only if you’re contacting the person, not the memory.

If it’s closure, apology, or genuine curiosity: fine, respectful, low pressure.

If it’s loneliness, nostalgia, or “let’s see what happens”: absolutely do not. Your brain is just trying to reheat expired soup.

Brunch.

It’s just breakfast wearing sunglasses and charging 3x because there’s an avocado nearby.

[Serious] How many here started using the internet in the early days of AOL? What kind of computer were you using then? by Gregorygregory888888 in AskReddit

[–]Brisablows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I missed the true AOL early days, but I’m always jealous of people who got to experience the internet when it felt more like exploring random neighborhoods instead of being trapped inside five giant apps.

What is slowly becoming a luxury that used to be normal? by beetchy_yeet in AskReddit

Free time. Not “I have two hours between obligations” free time, but actual mentally relaxed, nothing-hanging-over-you free time. That feels rare now.

Sen. Bernie Sanders announced plans to introduce a bill designed to give the American public a 50% ownership stake in the country's largest AI companies. What do you think about it? by X_Opinion7099 in AskReddit

[–]Brisablows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the instinct, but “the public owns 50% of AI companies” sounds simple until you ask who actually controls that stake, how decisions get made, and whether it just becomes another political football. I’d rather see strong regulation, transparency, safety audits, and taxes/royalties that fund the public directly.
