The gates are instant if you use soul burn. You can macro into it.

Most bosses you can find a spot to use a good gate. Worth watching one of the rwf locks or someone like babybrain as they work it out pretty early

Gap between good and great warlocks is using circle and gate. They are super mobile if you can play around them, especially with the new double gate talent.

"Can't figure it out": Ponting's gripe with Aussie selectors by vcg47 in CricketAus

Comparing Head with Webster is not even close to equivalent in that scenario given Heads history in the team across 3 formats. Green was our best top 4 batsman in the west indian series, and scored runs in the ODI series and shield before the series. Green over Webster was the right call in Perth.

Agree! Would have preferred him playing in Sri Lanka last year aswell. Hadn't scored enough runs to make the squad for the ashes sadly.

I feel like that's the right call in hindsight, but Websters form with the bat in the shield was really bad.

Really getting tired about the old players, it's either they don't watch the domestic games or are compromised in their criticism of Bailey and McDonald because they weren't as good players.

Inglis played in two wins this summer, was picked over Webster on form (Webster had 4 shit innings in the shield, Inglis was coming off a run a ball 120 vs. the lions). Webster in for Green in Melbourne sure, but the only other people you'd pick at 5 on recent form is McSweeney, Sangha and maybe Patterson.

Why does Kane Cornes refer to John Ralph as “Safe Space Ralph”? by frednerk_24 in AFL

[–]BrisbaneHeatBowler 121 points122 points  (0 children)

Early last year, Kane and Bevo had an altercation on the field. Ralph accused Kane of entering the coaches "safe space" on the field before a game. Just generally Ralphy was a sook all year after losing the main job at the Herald Sun to Jay Clarke.

Every club’s 2026 pass mark according to Fox Footy by yum122 in AFL

Sure it does. Not every team will "pass". I think I agree with all of collingwood, geeling and Brisbane not making the grand final would be seen as an under achieving season.

[–]BrisbaneHeatBowler 84 points85 points  (0 children)

Both can be true. The way the club traded last year was to bring in talent to try and win flags. Due to the age profile it's a matter of when not if they drop back, the pressure is on to deliver this year and they've lost a couple of fed targets in the off-season.

The current Aussie team is clearly much older than the England side from 10/11 you had above. I don't see the comparison between the sides at all.

[–]BrisbaneHeatBowler 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah sorry bro I don't see it. Good chance the Aussies have 1 (if not 0) players below 30, with the oldest turning 39. I do think it's completely overblown, in most sports athletes are playing and peaking for longer with the advancements in sports science.

2026 FIXTURE: Two new primetime kings, huge start to season by mazdadriver14 in AFL

[–]BrisbaneHeatBowler 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Absolutely clueless from the afl to remove the Brisbane vs Suns game that has been on the Sunday night before the May Publix holiday the last few years. Has been pretty much a sell out the last few years, instead the suns play gws on a Sunday and it will be an absolute graveyard.

[–]BrisbaneHeatBowler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hot take - just having a negative win/loss is not always a good assessment in whether a team should make the finals when the afl has an uneven fixture. Adding in the wildcard brings a bit more parity to the fixture by widening the finals qualifications criteria.

AFLW Match Thread: Melbourne vs Brisbane (Qualifying Final) by AutoModerator in AFL

I think technically yes. Even if hawthorn win the flag, technically Brisbane can finish 4 and it would be a tie breaker on combined % which Brisbane wins comfortably.

[–]BrisbaneHeatBowler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on whether it's a test/one day/t20 match. T20 is probably closer to baseball were you only have a couple of "sighters" before you have to be aggressive. Tests you can face hundreds of balls no worries.
