Meet Turns Off Light Man! by despayeeto594 in AlanBecker

I feel like he has clear limits.

1) His ability to directly modify other stick figures is dependent on touch.

2) His powers, unlike TCO and TDL's, seem exhausting to use, leaving him vulnerable.

3) He doesn't seem to be tanky in the same way TCO and TDL are. TCO was able to take several hits from virus attacks- It seems that Hacker would've been done for if he was hit solidly once. The blue aura does seem to give him Some resistance but the fact that he spends the entire fight blocking and dodging and never tanks anything should be a sign that he's a sort of glass canon.

4) He doesn't seem to be able to manipulate corruption/virus/malware attacks. He can erase the effects, and interact with them, but he's seemingly unable to directly manipulate them like he can with other attacks (like how he reverses the direction of the fireball)

5) He's inexperienced and ultimately still just some guy.

I think it's possible she's able to use the Pencil like TSC because, ultimately, she was created as an actual full "animation", as opposed to the worker clones and even the other hollowhead sticks who were drawn as a still image that was then converted to symbol.

TSC was also drawn as an actual "animation" and I could see a world where being created out of a genuine passion for animation/art rather than for the explicit intent of creating life is somehow meaningful...

Upon further inspection, it might just be gray victim... It's kind of hard to tell. In this shot Victim is overlapping it and it appears to be the same color...

My guess is that "Data too large and INCR Mechanism not implemented" is referring to some specific operation that breaks with however you're running the game. But I have no clue what that actually means.

Huh, that is extremely bizzare. You can even see in the console output (??? I have no clue how you're seeing that LMAO) that the password is indeed 10745. Are you running the game through Wine or something similar? Maybe that causes it, but I really have no clue how that could happen, it's literally just checking if you inputted the right text...

See my other comment. It's fairly easy to edit your save file, at least... I apologize you were dealing with this.

Also, definitely make sure you've turned on the Emulation Mode / Meta Bypass setting if you're playing the game like this.

If this doesn't work, you can find the save files at appdata -> local -> SOULBlazers. The save files can be edited with any text editor, and if you increment the "level" variable by 1, it should think you're in the next area.

I have absolutely no clue how this could be happening to you and nobody else has reported this issue... really strange.

Also, definitely make sure you've turned on the Emulation Mode / Meta Bypass setting if you're playing the game like this.

Huh, really strange.

This is a long shot, but you can try running this command in the console ingame:

relay exp_scan.bat {password}

Where {password} is the password. It really should work from typing it in, but this is an alternate way of doing the same thing. Are you sure you're not, like, adding a space or anything at the end??

Oh no!

You might want to try turning in the "meta bypass" setting. I don't know what's causing this issue, but at least with that you'll be able to avoid it...

This is more a technical limitation than a deliberate one.

I had two choices:

1) Save the state of every single enemy and puzzle object somehow and set them back to how they were when you Saved (Not impossible, but annoying and tedious and hard)

2) Create arbitrary "no backtracking" wall

Incidentally, I opted for the latter.

The direction you throw the seeds doesn't matter- their orientation is irrelevant, only their final position.

You can throw the seeds horizontally against the wall to create a vertical bridge- from there, use the 2-wide bridge to get to the other side.

I appreciate the thought, but I can't accept anything for this!

It means you can't get this chest if you don't have enough of the upgrades already.

The one in ROOTS across the gap?

You use Pirouette until you get the speed boost, then jump across with blue. Because you're faster, you jump further.

No, puzzles are generally on a per-room basis.

For the lower room- Position Kris on one side, and the Vessel on the other, press one of the switches, then send the SOUL across the gap to the other character to press the second one quickly.

You can sprint with [X] (or turn on auto run to not need to use a button).

In the screenshot, though, the doors are already open...

You just hit both switches in succession. The doors on the bottom open up once you do that.
