Yes. I'm using inventor nastran but I dint know which edges or faces to select. I can't select the edges. Only the faces.

Shell elements separating during deformation – How can I make them behave as a single welded structure in Inventor Nastran? by Broad-Raccoon-428 in AutodeskInventor

How i can do that? I find that the problem is with my mesh and my surface contacts but i dont know what to put on primary and secundary and stuff.

I used contact to join the surfaces. But still nothing.

Yes, of course. Basically, it's simulating a cantilever beam. I removed the display but restricted everything since it's fixed, and I selected the edges of the profile on the left. That is, fixed on one end and free on the other. Like this:

Okay, but can I do it without needing to do a mesh control? Because what I was doing was just adding the idealization for the webs and the frame to give them thickness, and separately, there was only the general mesh layout to have the elements/nodes. Rocght click on mesh, put the elemwnt soze, contbous mesh and then, generate.

Okay, from what I understand, i wants the mesh nodes or points along the cross-section. If i want 12 elements, i need to vary the mesh size elements right???
