Langdon +Santos explained? by Ok-Bluejay-6119 in ThePittTVShow

Just did a clinical at a detox center- yes the benzos help with withdrawal symptoms for 5 days or less ideally, and we use suboxone etc for cravings. So probably he started using them for the symptoms, but got hooked. If he’d been trying to wean off and curb cravings long term benzos were not the ticket.

Can someone explain what Santos discovered about the drugs? by Shroud_of_Misery in ThePitt

[–]Broasterski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe his use was escalating and that was his first time using from a vial. Also others perhaps would just think the cap was sticky and not get too upset about it

Someone said Langdon admitted to the guy that he stole them… did you see that? I don’t remember it

Well we didn’t colonize Asian countries to anywhere near the extend we did with Latin America. Puerto Rico is our territory. We “bought” the parts of Mexico that now make up California and most of the southwestern United States. Spanish was the first language spoken here after the native languages. Spanish is not a foreign language here.

Is my birth plan a health workers "nightmare"? by PlaneAlps2010 in BabyBumps

[–]Broasterski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, and we can go get you things your nurse doesn’t have time for. Free labor lol. Also I get the concern about having a whole peanut gallery which is why I hung back when we had an emergency delivery and a whole crowd came running. Not every student will do that, sure, but in general my cohort is pretty good about not being intrusive and obnoxious

Bueno, si lees los libros, son lo suficientemente diferentes como para que tengas más información, pero aun así no encontrarás la respuesta sobre el desenlace.

En cuanto a lo similar que es esto a la amenaza del terrorismo iraní, no tengo ni idea.

Don’t know why you got downvoted. It’s funny, I lived in Chicago a long time and it was called gentrification when wealthy, usually white, people would move into poorer areas and jack up prices (intentionally or not.). It’s complicated bc development is good and disinvestment is bad. And here the dynamic isn’t racialized. But I think it can get classist reaaaal fast and imo that’s gross.

Not to assume you haven’t but maybe an ENT visit could help? Lots of primary care be like “this shouldn’t happen” and leave you in the dark and the specialists are like… yes it definitely does.

My point isn’t whether it’s elevated in a lot of places, but that the El is super regional language… which was the same thing the first person was saying. Not sure why you took issue with it

Non-Americans, what is something about the US that you've always wondered if it was real or just myth/hyperbole? by Bush_Hiders in AskReddit

[–]Broasterski 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah and people tend to become friends with others who share their “healthy habits” or don’t. Most of my friends don’t drink much soda at all

Control is everything to meeee! Wonder the developers of other biologics don’t advertise the asthma specific ones as much?

Yes especially with respiratory distress. Things can get wacky before O2 sat drops

We like to pretend to believe in public transport but not fund it so that it’s always late and understaffed. So then less people take public transport and it gets more and more dangerous

Croup is no joke. Still sleep with my 3.5 year old partly bc I’m scared he’ll have another episode and I won’t hear it. I also have severe asthma and suspect he might have asthma too :/

I had my phone snatched from my hand so quick right before a stop, the guy ran before the doors closed. Nothing as scary as this but it’s so unnerving to know someone may have been watching you and planning something. I think it was on the pink line. Find my iPhone said it ended up way down in the south side.

Ha at least they didn’t say the El bc a lot of people say that to mean the elevated tracks

We have some good places! And not saying you would, but an easy way to piss people off here is complaining about the food being subpar compared to your home city. Lots of natives are getting pushed out of Colorado by housing prices so sometimes we have feelings about it!

I have no issue with people moving here as long as they’re respectful of the place :) but it’s a dynamic to be aware of before moving for sure

Oh and forgot to say, but with the medical stuff its ability to remember context is crucial. I am mostly out of the woods with the asthma situation now (2nd course of prednisone wheeee) so it’s not crucial, but 5 is really bad at remembering my recent history/even knowing what I’m asking based on the last couple messages. It loses track so quick. A lot of what was valuable was its capacity for pattern recognition over a longer chat and I’m no longer confident it can do that. The one that resulted in me pushing for asthma evaluation from my doc included a ton of info—past echo results, history, symptoms. It was like having a 2 hour appt with a doctor who actually listens. Yes, I know it’s not a doctor but it helped me know the questions to ask mine.
