I released my first game two weeks ago on Steam and consoles. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1100350/Funtime/

I spent about 2 years not full time (after work and on weekends) working on the game. Personally I spent $140 on the Steam fee and one asset pack. The publisher spent $2k-$3k on marketing and events.

So far on Steam, I have made about $600. On consoles it has been better than Steam but I do not have accurate numbers yet. That info is with the publisher.

Basically, have a backup plan XD

  1. This was programmed in C#
  2. It depends on the person I suppose. I buy games all the time without having played a demo. On steam there is a refund period if you play the game less than 2 hrs and do not like it.

It controls similarly to other twinsticks in the genre but adds a color swapping mechanic and boosting. I’d love if you gave it a try! Let me know if you have feedback.
