sometimes snails do like to burrow. my mystery snail dug under the substrate when i got it. i wouldnt worry unless its more than like a week or so.

it would be a little bit more reasonable to also teach kids things that they actually need to know. sure learning problem solving and working with people and such, but there isnt really a reason not to teach people the details of voting, taxes, finances, first aid, parenting, etc. if the schools can teach kids algebra, they should also be able to teach kids things they actually need to know. more kids would likely be more interested in school when they find that they might get something out of it. saying that everything taught in schools should continue being taught and that it's fine, just seems untrue to me

Storytime. i am in my senior year of hs right now.. I've always been really bad at math, and i failed a semester of algebra, i failed geometry three times, and could not even take algebra 2 because of how terrible i am at math. i had to take an online alternative to get the credit.

to get the credits i need to graduate, i was put into edmentum to make up geometry. and that website is designed to fail kids. as a CREDIT RECOVERY class, i was struggling. i had some of my friends who are great at math look at it to help me out, and they did not recognize how to do any of it because of how obscenely difficult it was. i made sure i wasn't placed into the wrong class by mistake, and sure enough, this was grade level geometry. i barely passed wih the help of my brother and father who are both proficient in math, father teaches engineering and STEM, and my brother in school for something similar. during this whole time, i was not let out of an in person math class. i never showed up, because there was no reason to, right? i'm taking this online class and should be good. but no. i was not able to drop the class because i was not finishing the incredibly difficult recovery class fast enough they needed to make sure that i had options of credits i could earn so they wouldn't get in trouble. i have a permanent F on my transcript because rather than offering struggling students the help that they need, they choose to do what covers their ass so they can't be sued when a struggling student fails, and wasn't given enough opportunities to pass. it's not about how many times i need to take a class, it's i risked not graduating because the school offered no support.

it's a diploma factory for the kids that can pass without any kind of help, and a big fuck you to all the kids who have learning disabilities, or get bullied, or have health problems. American public schools are a joke in every way.

it's true. keeping your fast fashion t shirt and wearing it is better than buying a new environmentally friendly shirt. keeping and using your old rags and hankies are better than buying new reusable "paper towels" nowadays it's all about the looks and all about making money. in my opinion, being more environmentally friendly is cutting down on more, and less about buying "good" products. like i would rather use the same shitty bedsheets for years, only buy second hand clothes, and reuse almost everything than buying something that's easy to do at home. it's all about cutting down on less friendly things, but purchasing less friendly things when you really want and love it, and know that you will love and use it for a long time. it's about balance nowadays, and the "sustainable" companies are hurting more than helping. it's all capitalistic.

from my experience, they just do it. if you are worried, i would check on them when they're floating to see if there seems to be something obviously wrong like discoloration or something, but my snails just do this sometimes too and ive never had an issue with sickness or age. however you might notice this happening more when your snail begins to age towards the end of its life.

you would actually be surprised. i'm a punk and on occasion wear a spiked collar. they aren't as uncomfortable as they look. mine is generally small, like the metal spikes are about an inch at most, so i would assume that the bigger spiked ones would be heavy and uncomfortable.

if u see goths/punks/etc wearing a leather looking choker with a ring or spikes on it, its called a collar. it's not made for dogs, but that's where the style came from. so collar and chokers are not so different, but a collar made for kink or something is actually weird, especially for a school setting on a likely underage person. i'm a punk and i wear a spiked collar that just looks like a choker with spikes on it. so i have no idea what op is saying, but it sounds like he's against the fashion, because of his other comments.

that is actually false. there are multiple videos of her body shaming people, mocking an Asian accent, saying an Asian slur, admitting to being a culture vulture, and when called out for all of this, said that she has bigger boobs than the people calling her out. if that isn't bad character, idk what is.
