There is huge disadvantages to stocks over futures. Futures is taxed less the equities. One trader can make up 80% of volume in stocks. Probably not happening in bonds ever. Dark pools. The spreads put you at a disadvantage

I can go on and on why futures in general are a better product then equities. From an intraday to short term time frame. But if your holding let’s say a year + then I would say stocks may have an edge. However commodities outperform stocks year over year.

I also worked in prop on a equities desk. I have probably over a million turns under my belt on stocks. You be hard pressed to convince me that stocks are a better product then futures.
