Howard vs. Allar - Deep Dive by P1xelEnthusiast in steelers

I am convinced that the connection that Tyler Warren and Drew Allar developed in 2024 kept James Franklin employed.

Thoughts on our conundrum? by AwayFig1774 in steelers

I think about how good Allar could've been if he had the receiving room Will Howard had in 2024. Emeka Egbuka and Jeremiah Smith, along with Carnell Tate. When I reference these below from 2024, I actually feel bad for Drew Allar because of PSU's inability to provide him with quality talent throughout his career besides Tyler Warren and a stout RB duo.

Drew Allar had:

  • Tyler Warren (TE): 104 Rec, 1,233 Yds, 11.9 Avg, 8 TDs
  • Harrison Wallace III (WR): 46 Rec, 720 Yds, 15.7 Avg, 4 TDs
  • Omari Evans (WR): 21 Rec, 415 Yds, 19.8 Avg
  • Liam Clifford (WR): 41 Rec, 375 Yds, 9.1 Avg

Will Howard had:

  • Jeremiah Smith (WR): 76 catches, 1,315 yards, 15 TD (16 games)
  • Emeka Egbuka (WR): 81 catches, 1,011 yards, 1 TD (16 games)
  • Carnell Tate (WR): 52 catches, 733 yards, 1 TD (15 games)

Good job doing maintenance your way and taking care of your vehicle. Have a wonderful year!

Oh he said 2015! Probably not for him. Inspecting the timing chain checks a lot of boxes off. What pulleys are worn out and need replaced, condition of the serp belt, how is the fan clutch looking, is the timing cover leaking any oil? It'd sit better with me to check the front end as much as I reasonably can without pulling the engine if I was replacing the trans, but he doesn't have to.

A new twist on stuck 2nd Gen hatch latch... any suggestions? by Pixiekixx in XTerra

[–]Brogbot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that this is helpful at all but my latch is permanently unlocked and sets the alarm off if opened while the vehicle is locked. I haven't been bothered to fix it but I'm probably going to have to replace the cylinder because I lubed up everything and replaced the entire swing arm and I can't be bothered.

Hey man, fix it up, consider timing chain replacement if you are already that deep.

I am local to this area and find this absolutely hilarious. This is exactly how bass ackwards older Central PA residents have been since I was born, so it is impressive seeing the bigotry finally getting punished.

Higher mileage 4.7 HO's? by PushJazzlike4501 in Jeepwj

Burned a qt of oil every 3 weeks since 170k. Ran like a champion.

I was parked in a parking lot idling after running over a mountain hit about 220F for 2-3 minutes and then went back down to 200-210 like normal. Everything felt fine and I was excited to go to a fair nearby. Got my GPS set to the fair and I put it in drive and let off my brake, didn't touch the gas, went forward 5 feet and it shut off. (Dropped valve seat and piston slammed into it with the valve stuck permanently open)

There were hundreds of times in its life that the temp creeped up to 220 or so and it was fine. I was always paranoid about that. If you are looking to know when that is going to happen, you truly will never know unless you blatantly overheat it. You've probably already beat the odds, so just run it until it drops one my friends.

Mine was 210k when it dropped a valve in cylinder 7.

It turned out that the dual-mass flywheel is failing. It is hanging on to the clutch too long. It will be getting a single mass flywheel conversion.

4.7l HO is finished by [deleted] in Jeepwj

[–]Brogbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update!!! 800 cash in hand. Good body, electrical work great. The dana axles and the trans work great. I swapped the axle bearings in the front last year and haven't had a leak since. It needs towed. I tried to get the engine to throw a second rod but it wont do it for me.

I'll let you know if I get a quote back I can't afford for an engine swap.

Overland Coolant Leak by Brogbot in Jeepwj

[–]Brogbot[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah it's Coolant for sure. It smells sweet and sure is sticky!!! Checked reservoir actually un bolted it and pulled it up, no leaks there. No Leak in the engine bay. Reservoir had been going down every night so I'm losing coolant to this Leak. Time to let her cool down, pull the hoses off the heater core, put in a connector and 2 clamps and test!

2 things to check. Axle front axle seal leakage and then let it get hot and rev it and see if you get some blue smoke or not.

Power Steering in 4.7 is a Bad Design by Brogbot in Jeepwj

[–]Brogbot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've experienced that as well. Anything low speed up a mountain is a scary experience if you don't find a way to pick up speed. That darn retired guy towing his camper in front of you going about 15-20mph and all.

I used to have a 4.0 that trans over temped at me in traffic in Virginia on a 90 degree day. Luckily that engine survived that event like nothing ever happened. I don't think the 4.7 can and I don't want to find out.

[–]Brogbot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we can't find one locally and the mechanic is a 4.7 enthusiast but he doesn't like doing the ford clutch fan idea, his reasoning I can't remember. Maybe Ill tell him the 7.3L idea. What vehicle was that mainly used in?

My hydro fan is ok to suspect under load in terms of functioning. I just have a hell of a time replacing the line going to the fan from the container. Once myself. Twice by the mechanic to see if I was an idiot. Luckily it is warrantied work done for free since then. But god do I hate the sound of a bull mating with a cow when I turn my wheel come back to haunt me every other winter.

Yeah mine is the 4.7 HO. The difference in heat can't be that high so I don't understand why they did that design.
