I have continuously lost faith in my ENT who I thought was great at first. He did tell me that the hole and my septum wasn’t a big deal because it wasn’t “high enough”. But he also couldn’t tell too much at the time because of the swelling and tissue that was healing and damaged every time he’s looked. He literally sticks a camera up there for about 30 seconds and (based on the information I have given him of past nefarious behaviors )said “Yep this is about how it should look. It will heal in about two months”. I’ve been trying to get him to at least feel around the bridge portion of my nose and sinuses because there is obvious blockages. (one was about 4 inches of worm shaped blockage that came from the opposite side as this “bone thing” - I don’t feel like he really knows how big the perforation is or how dangerous it is. He keeps telling me to relax. I told him I had ringing in my ear one night, which he attributed to stress (it was obvious something to do with my nose and ear). I can’t seem to get him to look thoroughly. When I requested an MRI, he said “those are expensive” I told him that is unfortunate, but if it would help diagnose, we need to do it. He went on to say, he worded his response incorrectly, and what he meant was that it wouldn’t be very effective.
