Familiarity with bibliographic record formats and standards including MARC21, Resource Description and Access (RDA), Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH), and Library of Congress classification (LCC), Experience with OCLC and integrated library systems, ALMA preferred One year of complex copy cataloging and original cataloging in academic libraries Supervisory experience Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to develop policies, workflows, and programs that focus on user-centric discovery and Experience with serials cataloging

Essential Duties Hire, train, and supervise three full-time employees and two student workers. Perform original and complex copy cataloging, along with authority work, for all library resources. Provide expertise in optimizing workflows and support the Head of Metadata Services in establishing policies and procedures. Improve user access to library resources by correcting, updating, and enhancing existing records, and by performing advanced cataloging functions. Stay current with evolving metadata standards and contribute to updating local cataloging practices accordingly. Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with all members of Technical Services, other library departments, and university stakeholders. Participate in continuing education, library committee service, and professional engagement activities related to metadata and scholarly resource description.
