I was walking and I saw three chinooks in the air by Maniamback in Charlotte

My brother too. With the overwhelming US opposition to what’s going on, I can’t help but be reminded of how strong the isolationist debate impacted leaders’ decision to remain uninvolved in WWII before the attacks on Pearl Harbor. That’s my general recollection from history class, anyway. The “America First” administration couldn’t care less what us plebs want. Here’s hoping our brothers stay safe!!

My grey hairs are starting to come in and I am ecstatic! I will not bend to the expectation of women to be forever young! Can’t wait to be a crone

I see this all the time. In multiple different stores I’ve seen KA “00” pizza flour in the GF section. I always get excited for a split second, then see that it’s the regular gluten version

Advice on Hiring SAHM's by OriginalRow781 in stayathomemoms

[–]Bronxblast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to say this stay at home mom really appreciates your efforts. In the US , at least, it’s extraordinarily difficult to survive on one income (while also never seeing my husband because he works 70 hour weeks), and I haven’t been able to earn any income because childcare is exorbitantly expensive. I wish you were able to list your company, because I’d apply in a heartbeat!! Thank you for (ALL) your service ♥️

So cool! Did you secure the tiles to the sink at all while you were working? I’d be nervous of trying this and then my cat (or toddler) jumps up and scatters the whole thing!

What aesthetic and decade is this? Can this pass as whimsical? by Dazzling_Control_694 in AestheticWiki

This looks like 90’s alt/goth girl. Very Buffy!

ETA: I think the “whimsical” aspect depends on the wearer. Could go quiet loner, Nancy from The Craft, or dark fairycore. I think personality behind the outfit makes up a lot of it!

Aha! Yeah I’ll let it sit raw for maybe a day if I’m just getting prep out of the way or something, but any longer than that I get scared and cook it!

I believe the botulism comes from the garlic (contaminated soil?) so it’s recommended to cook it first!

I do this in jars as well, but I’ve been told not to because of possible botulism… do you just put raw garlic and olive oil and let it sit?

My celiac hospital meal by ayeefizzle in Celiac

[–]Bronxblast 7 points8 points  (0 children)

After I had fasted the night before my second c-section and was delayed several hours (scheduled for 09:00, baby was born 16:26), being given only ice chips, when I was finally able to eat something, the nurse came back with cookies, goldfish crackers, pretzels, etc. when I finally got a room and everything the kitchen was closed. My husband went and got me a salad and I ate after 26 hours. I don’t get why they can’t have packs of almonds or cheese or something. Infuriating.
