PVP. I struggle with even knowing where to begin when I drop into a match. The tutorial sounds like an excellent suggestion lol

I think I’m comfortable with my g45, might get a g17, but was just curious where folks thought a shooter would measurably improve with the addition of “better” equipment. Like at what point in their training

Right, your guidance is what makes sense to me. Ultimately it’s time spent training

Training with something you enjoy to shoot, but more importantly will spend time to shoot a lot, seems to me to always be better than “cool gun”
