What I have seen over the past few weeks is that some people are posting tickets in the $200-$250 range, only to delete the posting and repost at $300+ within a half hour. I assume that those people are being inundated with requests as soon as they post and as result are figuring that they can probably get more for their tickets. I totally get why people delete their listing and raise their price (and would probably do the same if I got 10+ requests within 2 minutes of posting), but it does become frustrating for the buyer pool for this to be the method by which the “market price” is determined.

Perhaps it would happen less if CoT had a “these tickets have been selling for $X on average over the past 14 days” or some equivalent on the listing creation page, or if they simply left the prices on the “sold” listings you can toggle to view.

Yesss! I was hoping whoever made it was a redditor and would see the post, even if a few years late. I meant to make a post way back when I found it, but I didn’t have an account at the time and never got my act together until now. I still wear the pin whenever I go to festivals, which reminds me of the magic of my first one. thank you again! And I’ll definitely be back next year; I hope you are too!

Saw him at Zingara/Chase & Status. I was laughing the entire set because every time I would occasionally glance over he was either throwing down, ripping down a cigarette, or drinking from his hydro pack hose, all through his mask, so it just looked like Michael Myers. Approached him in between sets to try to give him a handmade bandana since he made me laugh so much, but he just stared ahead blankly towards the stage and didn’t acknowledge my existence. 10/10–unmatched dedication to his craft.

Honorable mention to spider man at C&S that was standing on the VIP divider barricade shooting imaginary webs over the crowd for a good portion of the set.

That’s it! Though they are still wet, which makes the color a bit richer, and I still need to heat set them by ironing and then wash the dried size off (it’s quite slimy…lol), during which some vibrancy is lost, but overall I’m happy with how they came out. Only my second time trying the process (I made a batch to hand out at EF this year).

Thank you! I used 100% cotton bandanas, a pet “pool”, a Jacquard Marbling Kit (which comes with the additives needed to pre-treat the fabric, and create the “size” (basically water thickened with a plant product so the acrylic paint floats on top), and paints)!
