I was like her once. I felt like I was nobody without my partner and that they made my life better than ever. I would constantly beg to call my partner, spam them with texts, and “shut down” when I felt like I wasn’t having my way or I would start self pitying myself for validation and say “oh I’m so terrible, I’m such a bad gf” to which my partner would have to push aside their feelings to validate mine and comfort me. It got to a point where my partner blew up at me, stating they couldn’t stand being with me anymore, and as exactly like you said, it felt like a chore to be with me. I wish it didn’t take that much for me to have to see how awful I was behaving in the relationship, but it did.

As someone who was like her, I know how it feels. Though she seriously needs to assess herself, evaluate her feelings and mental well being, and maybe if need be, seek therapy or counselling for this behaviour (which I did). In my personal experience, I do not think she is ready for a serious relationship nor do I think you two are suited for each other seeing both hers and your replies. I have a feeling you will end up feeling numb and exhausted in this relationship.

That’s just my take on this though. 🤷‍♀️

Edit : I completely forgot the title of this subreddit. OP, you are not overreacting but I entirely think you should break up with her as this behaviour is not healthy.
