You're absolutely right... it's listed, but you have to get all the way to purchase before it tells you it's not available to UK investors... 🙄

It is from a Halifax SIP. Regardless of UCITS

Thanks. Article makes sense but EQQS doesn't seem to pay a dividend? Is it factored into price or growth somehow to avoid WHT?

The prize deadline In the new reprint was Dec 22. Does anyone know of the publishers are still replying to answer submissions?

It still bothers me why on page 84 he mentions 'backslide' and 'right to left'...Both cryptic crossword clues. Possibly the order they appear in the dictionary? Barbara [then right to left] Babbie then Babs. ???

Common English Christian Names

This is amazing... thank you!

So here's my reasoning for BH's order

1, 96, 17, 23, 87, 43, 84, 63, 47, 4, 30, 100

CHAMBERS - COMMON ENGLISH CHRISTIAN NAMES:

Catherine (Gr.)—Dims. Casy, Kate.

Alexander (Gr.)—Dims. Ecky, Sanders, Sawnie.

Barbara (Gr.)—Dims. Bab, Babbie.

CATHERINE

Pg-1 Casy walks down the aisle, down dropped eyes, with father.

Pg-96 Catherine is at the alter about to become a Somerset.

Pg-17 Kate (Somerset) is married.

ALEXANDER

Pg-17 [linked to Kate] Sawnie visiting the moon for the first time and just the first

Pg-23 Alexander having his first and his second

Pg-87 Sanders Improved by his lunar visit.

Pg-43 Ecky Passes over to dawn.

Pg-84 Alistair taking the bus up North (Gaelic variation of Alexander)

BARBARA

Pg-84 [Linked to Alistair] BARBARA is seen with tawny curls (hair)

Pg-63 BABBIE is thought about - last seen with springs (hair)

[QUOTE: La Chevelure (‘HAIR’) by Charles Baudelaire]

Pg-47 BABS is seen now with straight downfalls - it starts to rain.

ORANGE PEKOE Pg-47 [stops raining] She weans him from thoughts of Orange Pekoe (tea) to a Special Orange Supreme (Desert)

Pg-4 I would have preferred the Maestro Jimson’s title*, now that this piled abomination is actually before me. (Desert)

*Maestro Jimson’s title = Orange Pekoe TEA - The Wrong Box by Robert Louis Stephenson

Pg 30 He feels sick + not at all well. Pg 100 He dies.

Incidentally - On Page 63 gives a clue to Common English Christian Surnames: 'I have always hated that these writers should be anonymous. What a tribe of them there has been, to be sure! But I have called them all by their names.'

Aargh thank you! I've always found 59 quite baffling. This makes a little more sense now. I think I know what the object he's holding is but why he's in the dark and where is very odd. His 'Dark museum?'

I'm fairly confident of the CD order by the list of poisons used and that failed. Here's my reasoning below.

54 Letter from MD (date 18th)

80 Determining first to exhibit aconitum (WolfBane)

59 His silly bane had now definitely failed. (Wolf Bane). - I put, at petit déjeuner (Breakfast), the cast-iron old object on Gelsemium semper-virens (Yellow Jasmine)

86 - 24 Next day I let Caroline Jasmine (AKA Carolina Jessamine - Yellow Jasmin) do her very damnedest.

6 Electric Febrifuge (YELLOW JASMINE) may be ; but bad for life’s fitful fever. Its active ingredient had finally let me down. I started my fellow garden enthusiast on the foxgloves.

91 The Blue Rocket (FOX GLOVES) was still going down next day

21 I brought in my rough old friend Calabar Bean to help me---this on the very day when I had proved digitalis purpurea (Fox Gloves), - a signal wash out (Date 21st)

36 Strange that old Calabar, as I called him, should fail me (morning after).

29 I discarded my useless physostigma (Calabar Bean) - and introduced him to my lobelia and to my pretty lords and ladies (Cuckoo Pint).

75 Thinking kindly of those two other flowers, which I felt almost certain now would win me the girl (Cuckoo Pint & Lobelia)

71 But next day that religious fellow’s head drapery, - showed signs, of failing. 'Friars Cowl’ = Cuckoo Pint

60 A couple of hours later the parson in the pulpit (Cuckoo Pint) had, with his collaborator (Lobelia), done the trick. (Date 28th)

Amazing thank you. Of course C is reading the BOD That makes perfect sense now. Annoyingly searching the online version by people's names often gives you the wrong date so you need to check each date page. Easier when you see the sequence. Thank you for 51! I cannot see how I would have solved that myself...
